Fell from my chair from laughter, priceless.

I'm sure Andy just uses the good ol' telephonebook.:D

true, the zoom wouldn't take being smacked on someones head, and hehe i can just imagine andy throwing the yellow pages at some bigheaded guitarist

Haha I imagine Andy furiously throwing yellow pages at Loomis, Smyth, or the Amott bros crying "Shite! Whata bloody mess!!! If I could just work with skilled musicians for once, but noooooooooo I have to redo all the parts myself at night!"

this morning i had the occasion to test a 5150 and i think i'll stick to my rectifier

djoursik... what was it about the 5150 that you did not like and makes you feel as though you prefer the mesa when you play the arch enemy riffs and solos?

well it's nice but i said that my mesa's sound was not vibrant enough but had great balls
well the 5150 has a nice sound but a bit too much finally i prefer my mesa
and people are right the clean is not that good my mesa's clean is wonderfull with a bit of delay or reverb

wtf? is this guy nuts? he wants an ae tone, but doesnt want a 5150? i'd say go try a krank, and if you dont like that then i think you just might as well give up

i meant the 5150 is as good as my mesa but finally i prefer my mesa i find the grain better and the clean is nicer than the 5150's

i never had the chance to play anything else than my mesa so i never knew it was one of the best

ok, so this thread was worth nothing because in the end you decided by yourself that the recto, although it can't do the sound you want soudns better than the 5150 to you?

I'd say on those initial clips, he managed to make the slave out of a $1500 dual recto sound exactly like a $50 boss metal zone going right to a board. =)

yep i'll do better the next time :loco: haha
anyway i've got a new job so if i have enough money i'll buy a 6505+ and record on both amp mix that to get a great sound
but i love to learn the hard way it slaps you in the you so much that you have 2 choices put the guitar down and never play again or try harder till you die i prefer the second option :hotjump:
