Metal 2014

Judas Priest have finished their next record: www.bravewords.com/news/219674

I'm not expecting much from this as they haven't put out anything I've been into or thought was decent for years, I think the new Brainstorm will be better if you are into metal in a similar vein.

Talkinh about stupid cover...o_O:yuk::yuk:

Unfortunately I'm afraid the new Mayhem is going to suck. I only listened to the surfaced song once but there was something sterile about it. I loved Ordo Ad Chao for it's dark creepiness.

Some people complained about it "leading nowhere musically" but I liked how unpredictable and eerie it was. The new song already seems to contain what I dislike in modern metal. It might serve as an example of what I mean though, so I can explain myself better after I hear the whole thing.

It somewhat feels like comparing the Vader latest to the original Morbid Reich demo. There IS a reason why I prefer the demo so much even though the new album tries to sound like it.

Satan's Upheaval releasing a debut album sometime this year, and from what I hear, it's some genre-defying work and I'm looking forward to it. I like this.
