The song is essentially how her faith and her god failed her. I don't think it can be logically construed to be a criticism of all religious beliefs, even all Christian beliefs.

I still find it mind boggling how many people seemingly take Slayer's 'Satanism' seriously. Ages ago I was at a gig and I saw a dude with a Slayer shirt, so I asked him, 'What do you think about Tom Araya being Christian and singing stuff like "God Hates Us All"?'

Fair question I thought, it seems like a bizarre thing for someone to have such strong beliefs about an issue and sing in a non satirical manner about the opposite, and I wondered what a Slayer fan would think of this. For the most part. I recently started attending a sort of a home meeting kind of thing, but theres no offering, just talking about the Bible. Much closer to what I envision as legit, as opposed to some dude acting like the local messiah and demanding money (99% of churches)
