Megadeth, Anthrax, Metallica, Slayer, and Testament. Which do I like best? Well, I'll tell you. I love Testaments lyrics (well atleast The Leg. through SOB). Dave was awesome too. Slayer are to satanic for me. Whose are the best or most inspiring to you?

Slayers lyrics are not satanic, they are retarded. I love slayer as much as the next guy, but if you are looking for a good solo or meaningfull lyrics, look somewhere else.

The puppets record had good lyrics for the most part. So did Justice for all. I always thought Anthrax (well, Spreading the disease, on) had great lyrics. Megadeth had some great stuff back in the day (pun inteded) and they still do.

I don't know I guess I am just a sucker for metal, I like a lot of their songwriting. Well, except slayer, haha.

Id say Anthrax's lyrics from POT onwards have always been quite mature, as oppposed to some metal bands who swear for the hell of it and rarely make any sense whatsoever. The combination of Charlies music and Scott and Johns lyrics are what got me hooked on Anthrax. My favorite Thrax album lyrically? Probably SOWN edging out WCFYA (as much as i like the song the lyrics to Black Dhalia blow).....

Anthrax's lyrics have always (from STD to present) been what I have admired the most about them compared to any of the other bands. Charlie's okay too :)
With the exception of a few songs (one world, imitation of life, finale, be all end all, aftershock, and gung ho) i never got into the Belladonna era lyrics until POT and by then, he was gone. Anthrax's lyrics with Belladonna were too goofy and unrelatable for me. Love the music though.
