Metal Church

"Blessing In Disguise", the Howe era is far more superior than the Wayne era. You eventually would get the first two (and/or even "Masterpeace") but if you want hte best material start with BID.

My favourite Metal Church album is the first one but "Blessing in disguise" contains, IMO, one of the best songs in the metal history: "Badlands" :worship:

I´d start with "Metal church", then "Blessing in disguise", "The dark" and "The human factor" (an underrated album but excellent)

All the first six albums are excellent. I also consider "Blessing In Disguise" as their best, but I think that the most natural "first taste" of Metal Church for a new fan, would be the first album (s/t).

As for the most underrated Metal Church album, this is (without doubt)"Hanging In The Balance". :heh:

I agree on both counts, love those albums :hotjump:, like I said Howe era was the best and the strongest :worship:. Wayne was never a good vocalist to my taste, but his albums undoubtedly contains good songs.

I have their first three albums, and all of them kick ass, though Blessing In Disguise is my favorite out of the three.

I'd start at the beginning for sure. I love the first 3, dont know about the rest.

I bought another album of theirs years ago but didnt like it much at the time - on the cover they were lying around some candles I think...

You mean the Human Factor...

I also didn't like it much the first times I listened to it, but it's a very good album with nice lyrics.

It's a superb album with great songs like: 'The Final Word', In Harm's Way, 'Flee from Reality' , 'The Human Factor', 'The Fight Song'. It hooked me up since the first time I listen to it.

I honestly dont see the craze with Metal Church. I grabbed the first 2 and they're ok but I mean nothing screams out to me to listen, then I grabbed BiD thanks to this thread, the vocals are really nice but it's so slow and proggy that it loses me. So many other bands that are alot better imho to find out about personally. Maybe i'll change one day though.
