Metalcore recs

Beyond the Embrace - Insect Song (one of my top picks for the decade)
Sounds pretty good.
DevilDriver - The Fury of Our Maker's Hand
O hellz noez
It Dies Today - The Caitiff Choir
Eh...
Phoenix Mourning - When Excuses Become Antiques
Meh
Trivium - Ember to Inferno (Trivium's best)
Not best enough
Unearth - III: In the Eyes of Fire
moar liek it

Matts (douchebag's) vocals is better then most people are aware of...
Yes, much better. And yet they're still just mediocre growls.

A bit too gay, but yeah, doesn't have to be all brutal.

All That Remains - The Fall Of Ideals
yeah, not bad at all. Saw them live once and they sucked (and were promoting this album), but studio tracks sound pretty good.

The last two really good metalcore albums I heard recently:
Burnt by the Sun - Heart of Darkness
Coalesce - Ox

...otherwise, I think Starkweather's 'Croatoan' is probably one of the greatest metalcore albums ever.

Wow. I really cba to check out most of that. For one thing, I have Ascendancy and it blows massive horse cock, largely because of douchebag's vocals. And I'm not getting any fucking KSE, so stop.

Condense that list to 5 albums and I'll give them all a try.

all Devildriver albums

Metalcore:
All that Remains - This Darkened Heart
All that Remains - The Fall of Ideals
The Black Dahlia Murder - Miasma
The Black Dahlia Murder - Nocturnal

Progressive metalcore:
Between the Buried and Me - Alaska
Between the Buried and Me - Colors

I did listen to Devildriver. They blow.

The Black Dahlia Murder are not metalcore. Also, I have both those albums. Miasma is good; Nocturnal is utter shit. All That Remains was already suggested. Between The Buried And Me suck. I think I'll keep you on ignore.

Been listening to some As I Lay Dying songs and this seems like what I'm looking for.

BTBAM is terrible. You like bad metalcore and smell.

.

And Pray For Villains is the biggest pile of shit ever!!! I hate to admit it, but The Fury of Our Makers Hand is a pretty good album..reminds me of a modern Pantera..other than that -- avoid them

AILD was actually one of bands that got me into metal. when i heard their song "Through Struggle" i was like "OMGWTF this is heavy shit and i like it..!"
here's a live vid of that song.

Tim is one of the better metalcore screamers. check out his solo project...
Austrian Death Machine - Total Brutal
Austrian Death Machine - Double Brutal

So I got the God Forbid album, and it was alright but not great and not really what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something more melodic and catchy and less thrashy. Great production job, though.

Facing the Thousand from Light This City.

They USED to be metalcore. That album is more melodeath but... hey, female vocalist. :p
