but anyway, no metallica does not suck, they did not sell out. while their are loads of more talent other places they still have some good shit even in the more recent years, although as it is known there are some very bad songs too. becoming the biggest band on the planet would surely morph your personality a little too, you go from traveling around in a shitbox uhaul into jumbo jets. what they did was amazing.

I like Metallica Pre-Black, but especially Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets. Influenced me majorly on guitar. THAT BEING SAID - I'm more of a rhythm guitarist (ie: I suck) - so more Jaymz and less Kirk. I'm not too fond of his guitar sound, and his soloing is a little too weedly and high-pitched for my liking.

And Call of Ktulu was written with Dave Mustaine, wasn't it??
