Metallica, Testament or Megadeth ??

Megadeth......Peace sells-era, you cannot beat "Good Mourning/Black Friday"!!!!!

How about My Last Words on the same album... :p To me that is the outstanding track though I love Good Mourning/Black Friday as well.. I love Chris Polands leads on My Last Words (at least i think it is him)... Chris is a very underrated guitarist and I might like his style a little more then Marty Friedmans... :kickass:

i agree with felidae why make a choice they are all unique in their own way metallica are metallica need i say more and were at their most brilliant in the early years megadeth are dave mustaines baby and also were more brilliant in the early days aka rust in peace and peace sells etc and testament are also a fantastic band who had some real strong albums

Depends on many factors: mood, historical, etc.

Testament is most thrash of the three for me and except for a couple of albums the most consistent. Metallica was alright up to AJFA and then took the plunge into...(we're not again going to beat the dead horse). Megadeth was fine up to "Youthanasia", dropr the ball a bit in "Crypting Writings" and then screw it up completely, still I hope the new one to bring some interesting stuff enough to purchase it.

If I had to make a balance it'll be something like:

"Master Of Puppets", "Rust In Piece", "Low" and I'm happy with the three of them :D

well yes thats true depends how we feel...

I haven't the faintest idea. I actually surprised there's not Anthrax in the list?!

Oh, if you want to go there then why is not in the list...

....Coroner, Xentrix, Heathen, Atrophy, Toxik, Znowhite, Darkness, Death Angel, Dark Angel, Sodom, Kreator, Abandoned, Angel Dust (early incarnation), Anacrusis, Flotsam And Jetsam, Forbidden, Hallows Eve, Venom (new), Hellhammer/Celtic Frost (old), etc.

or the near-thrash bands like Abattoir, Exciter, Zoetrope, Suicidal Tendencies, Hirax, Impaler, Meliah Rage, Metal Church, Nasty Savage, S.O.D.

or even those bands I don't dig like Slayer, Overkill, etc.

Well the guy wanted to drew a line, what's wrong with it?

NP: Allen/Lande - 'Obsessed'

I could careless what the guy wants. I'm just adding if you're gonna add major thrash bands most people would think of Anthrax before they think Testament...

Then I'm not most people becuase I usually forget Anthrax. If I'm in a rush to quote thrash bands usually Testament will do it :)

NP: Maninnya Blade - 'A Voyage To Hades'

I love all thses bands and I know this is mostly of an older generation of thrash heads but guys do you ever listen to anything more extreme. Hatesphere, Carnal Forge, NightRage, Impious, and Dew Scented all have released great Thrash albums in the last two years. The Sweden THrash scene is killer.

If I had to vote Overkill and Testament all the way.
