Actually his growls on the new Ayreon are rather impressive. But I'd wager he's like Swanö, can't pull them off in a live situation.

Cause Peter and Mike dominate, it would have been cool if Dan growled on NMF if he didn't recruit Peter.

Dan's growl really isn't that great imo, he wouldn't stand a chance against Mike or Peter.
About Jonas Renkse - if my memory serves me well, he can't growl anymore, though now I gather by the post above mine that he does.

Dan's growling is awesome, his voice is brutal as hell and sounds unique.

I'm not saying it's not good, I just said it isn't that good and or nearly as good as Mike's or Peter's, both top-of-the-line death vocalists.

Both Dan and Jonas have torn voices that cant pull growling off fully live anymore. Mike is the obvious choice if they wanna do the oldschool style

Jonas did growl one song on their last tour, but it was a bit slow in a "Swallow the Sun" sort of way. Maybe he couldn't pull off the fast songs.

It was a pretty 50/50 decision since I like Amorphis, but not love em. I dont go to many gigs anymore so I skipped it. Saw some videos though, seemed like a good gig
