I swear I want to understand why everyone's raving about this game... Is it really that cool or is it more addictive than anything? I don't really understand it's concept, you just build stuff? That's it?

Pretty much. The draw for me is trying to figure out how to build what you dream up. What materials to use .... its a ton of fun.
