MIXING CONTEST, paid job offer, death metal

Hi,

I had some time today to check this out.
Track nº9 has no audio, the toms are far too edited, (I wouldn´t clean up all the hits in a roll, usually between rolls and then fade out after the last hit). Would have been nice if youd have provided clean samples of the actual kit. No hi hat or ride tracks?
The overheads are not phase aligned.
The snare is not to bad doesnt have to much bleed, mixed with a sample should sound great. The leads are a bit weak I wish I could reamp. You sure the bass is DI?

Tomorrow I´l have something for you.:kickass:

i am totally down for this as soon as my copy of cubase SX3 arrives to don't let them decide who's gonna mix it just yet ;)

no editing/sampling done to the drums at all except tom1 (which is triggered by sd2 according to the midi that handsofdespair put up. bass is soloc (for grit) blended with ampegsvx. guitars are soloc boosting 8505 with some eq done, going thru the one of the damien recabinet impulses. vocals have no effects except limiting/compression (and it shows, they sit on top of the mix imo.)

drums kinda overshadow the guitars too...I did this mix extremely quickly (probably pretty obvious)
