Holy damn. I played my drummer's set today for first time today (as in not fucking around), and man was I ripping that thing up. Now I couldn't keep a decent consistent beat at normal/medium pace tempos, but once I kicked in that double bass, I was unstoppable! My timing became infinitely better, and I was playing faster (the double bass) than I ever imagined I could. I felt like Adrian Erlandsson playing Suicide Nation (yeah, you know the drums in that song rule!) because I was playing just as fast as he does in that song. Actually now that I actually listened to the song again, I was playing faster than that, more along the lines of "Legion." Anyhow, I don't know how consistent I was, and I don't know if I'll be able to play as fast the next time I play, but boy was I happy with myself because it was the first time I've ever played a double bass pedal. Too bad we're not a death metal band...actually I guess it's a good thing because then our current drummer would be out of business! Haw haw haw haw! :Smokedev:
:hotjump:
But yeah, the metal scene better watch out because I may emerge as a beastly drummer instead of a bass player!
Anyway, that was my story for exciting story for the day (other than ripping out a no parking sign out of the ground and burying it under pine straw). Now if I could only get my own set....
