THE DEVIL'S REJECTS ... far superior to 1000 corpses ... Zombie is really coming together as a director. Really like his visual style.

William Forsythe and Danny Trejo were great ... would really like to see Danny Trejo in a leading role once in an indie flick or something ...

william forsythe ruled in raising arizona. havent seem him rule as much since then and that was 1984. then again everyone in that movie ruled and havent since. except maybe goodman in 'bowski. maybe.

anyway, i caught a woody allen flick called melinda and melinda or something. never even heard of it before. but, the comic parts with will ferrel are great. worth a rent. FF through the "dramatic" parts and just watch the "comic" parts. youll see what i mean. man, i hate drama.

okay that was fucking awful. i liked house of 1000 corpses as good campy fun. great characters, good gore, and a story that never tried to be anything but what it was: pointless and quick. this sequel though, completely drawn out and overdone, and amazingly, even the EXACT SAME CHARACTERS were lame and uninspired. stuff like slow motion, cut scenes, and other useless crap was thrown in haphazardly and rather than setting a mood, made it look like a john woo flick. rob zombie is a fucking horrid actor. ugh. terrible terrible film. great soundtrack though.

I saw Doom last week

horrible movie, the first hour+ was boring as hell, very poorly done Aliens-esque themes ("something creepy hiding in the shadows")
but when the action kicked up for the last 20 minutes, it was fun

but in all honesty, those last few minutes of the film had zombies, and that's all it took for me to enjoy it.

oh shit, i was wrong, i thought otis was zombie.

well either way, the otis in this one SUCKED compared to the original. (just went to IMDB) okay WTF that was the same dude?!?!?! it seemed like a completely different character! but that's no surprise, because even sid haig was pretty bunk in this one, and i thought he was 1000 corpse's saving grace.

my main problem is that this movie was a real movie, it lacked all the fun and stupidity of the first one. oh well.

saw downfall last night. awesome. all day today i thought i was in nazi germany because i watched it right before i went to bed. i kept thinking the end was coming. but the end to what? i eventually got over it.
yeah, so i thought the female lead was quite beautiful. me likey german goils.

Watched motorcycle diaries, which was good, a cool travelling story, and the Constant Gardner, which was totally absorbing and depressing. In the same kinda way that Hotel Rwanda was so depressing...

saw CRONICAS ... I recommend this to people that like non conventional endings ... and ones that make you want to throw shit at the main character.
