EXACTLY!!!! God, I feel like you're the only perso who programs drums who understands this! That is why I was so so so so so impressed with Waterclime and Solens Rotter programming. The snare is so impressively natural sounding.

Your programming has intimidated and inspired me so much. It just seems so impossibly difficult to achieve, but you did do it! I just can't seem to get such real sounding stuff out of Reason though. What sequencing program do you use??

I use Steinberg's Cubase.

cubase is good, but often it really doesn't matter what program you use as long as you have great samples. that's where the success comes from. if you have natural sounding clips, you can even download a free sequencing program (like Leafdrums) and come out with something awesome.

Well, it's a matter of patience for me. Reason is a good program, but it's not as large scale as I'd like so it can be very tedious to work with.
