Some thoughts of Mr. V!

Gravisphere album: in the making..all the songs are completed and we're now going to start recording it.

mr V

Great! Btw... not sure if you still have the drawings that I gave you in Oslo... you know... none email yet... hope you liked them!
Oh, I wanted to talk more with you that day but I was pretty drunk, he! :)

You know, Borknagar has just announced they playing Wacken Open Air 2009. THis would be some great footage for a DVD. I'm just debating whether or not I should try my best to attend this festival. Depends on who else is playing, really. Wacken seems pretty interesting, but I'm more of a Rocklahoma person. And since I'm attending that and Maryland Deathfest this year, I really don't think I can make it. Hell, I don't think I can make it to Sweden Rock even! :( URIAH HEEP IS PLAYING! This setlist so far is amazing, but only if they'd kick Hammerfall off the bill and maybe add Doro Pesch - Her new album is fantastic.

Maybe some thoughts of this, Mr. V? Hehe. Great footage for DVD with backstage stuff, interviews, music videos, etc... I think it would sell major copies.

It is - but if you're rich/insane enough, you can get tix through eBay.

NO!

tickets for the two italian dates of the upcoming AC/DC tour have been sold out in only one hour....
a friend of mine bought a ticket for 260 € :yow:
what shall i say other than......MADNESS! :zombie:

HOLY SHIT! One hour?
I think the tickets for our ACDC dates were like three hours. That is insane!
But, ACDC rules and never tours anymore. Black Ice was pretty damn good. But strangely enough, it wasn't the most exciting album of 2008. I think they say that Metallica had much more publicity over Death Magnetic than what ACDC had. I don't get it! D.M. is great, but c'mon... it is ACDC!

Heh, seems not many here seem to attend WOA this year (me included), otherwise we could have had a revival forum meeting with a whole different bunch of people compared to 2002 :D
And I disagree that filming the show would be great for a serious DVD. The conditions there aren't really made for that.

I'd also love to go to Wacken to see Bork, but you know, living in CR and the tickets being sold-out doesn't help. At all. The set-list looks pretty lame this year though (why am I not surprised by this? ).

And I disagree with Gaunerin, you can make great DVD concerts @ Wacken. You just need the right audience and equipment :) .

so...none of us will go to wacken????

i hope borknagar will do some other dates as half-promised on the borky forum....
i hope al least a date near italy, i don't pretend a date in italy (even if it would be better and unexpected) but austria, south of germany, south of france, or slovenia (maybe metalcamp?)...
it would be great....a dream that comes true :dreaming:

i can't stop dreaming, i mean, last year a great and old dream turned into reality, to see carcass live :worship: :worship: :worship:

sweden rock???....naaaa.....too far from me :Smug:
i need something nearer and not in august...yes i know i'm quite exigent , but i work during summer, so i need to take the lesser holidays i can, and absolutely not in august...

The Hypocrisy and Bloodbath dvd's there kick ass, why Borknagar can't do it too???

If i'm in Europe soon, I hope to see a Borky show at least once (since I can't see Arcturus and Vintersorg live anymore :()

I didn't want to spoil everybodys hopes for a DVD. I would want to have one myself and I suspect that maybe we were thinking of two different things here. For sure you can look at the recorded material afterwards and decide to release it. As a bonus DVD how you can often get them nowadays for example.
What I had in mind was "the real thing" (the wish is father to the thought :D ). I believe you cannot actually plan to record a show at WOA to release it. Neither in general (e.g. you cannot forsee how the weather's gonna be) nor in this particular case (Bork) because the set's gonna be way too short. A 45 min set as a foundation of a sole DVD? Some will argue it's better than nothing but let's face it, folk is going to complain.

Did I miss something? V isn't disbanded yet so one day you might see them as well :)

i remember andreas saying that vintersorg is not a live band anymore, no time to tour because of work (too many groups), school and family, am i wrong?

Yes, that is true! I mean, I've never been there, but I hear it is very rough!

respect to italian festival, which are littler, i found wacken very relaxing
i mean, good atmosphere, nice people, perfect organization....
and people is not rough as in italy....
if you wanna go under the stage you can easily reach the first or second line without beating anyone
here you cannot dream to reach the first lines without letting hundreds of corpses behind you... no one will let you to pass....
i've seen the difference especially with big bands, i reached the second line for motorhead at wacken with no problems, i was able also to eat something confortably....in italy i was in first line for iron maiden....and it has been a real nightmare... i had only 10.000 persons behind me, but each of them was fighting his personal war to go under the stage... i felt like i had all of them on my shoulders...i wasn't able to take away my hands from the barriers neigther for a second or i would be swallowed by the crowd. at a certain point ( about after an hour) i asked a roadie to be lifted up and taken away cause i was really dying and not able to breath anymore. i had scratches, livids and pain in every part of my body.....:erk:
