The purpose of this thread is to share with you, brothers and sisters, my happiness of having met here in El Salvador excellent young musicians that play influenced by Novembre.
Last Sunday evening I attended a local concert in San Salvador, we went to support our dear friend Alex. Let me tell you about him, he is a prodigal natural born drummer, he was still a kid when he listend Wish I could Dream It Again. So he grew up learning, improving influenced by Giuseppe Orlando. I had never had the chance of listening him playing, until yesterday. He impressed me!
He really plays like Giuseppe!
Yesterday, he played with a local band called Belsasar (the name doesnt deal at all with their music) the guitar player is another guy influenced by Novembre, he played some short tunes from Cold blue steel, Novembre, Nostalgiaplatz, tales from a winter to comeas an intro for what they were about to play. Then they played their own songs, they would have sound very doomy, but with the addition of our friend Alex, they were really great! He added the dynamism and progressiveness touch to the band. When I listened their set, I said to myself: I am listening Arte Novecento! Due to my drummer friend. The two guitar players did also vocals and switched in some of the songs from growls to clean vocals that reminded me a bit to Carmelo Orlando.
Damn, I really wish that you could listen this band and our friend Alex, you wouldnt believe it. They have not recorded anything yet, but since they are very talented I hope they can do it soon. Ill keep you informed on their activities. Believe me, they are worthy of being listened....
