go buy it.

Not the tightest of orchestras but somehow they put across the message of the music better than any other versions i've heard
They aren't selling them as a box set any more so there won't be many left. This stuff is pure genius, heavy as fuck when it wants to be but still with these incredibly complex harmonies. the first 3 symphonies have opera singing that just pisses me off, but the other 12 are incredible.

a different version, but just listen to this

if that's not heavy then i don't know what is!

The mid part of the first movement of the 4th Symphony, the Presto section is ultra fast shred fest with the string section.

I just reached that bit just now. It's been too long since i've taken the time to listen to this stuff again

Most of my daily listening is comprised of orchestral music, even in the car. I had an addiction to the Shostakovich Symphonies about a year ago or so. I couldn't get into the 9th one too since it sounded to "goofey" and "upbeat" compared to the majority of his other symphonies

this shit is fucking EPIC, nice one skelsis (and i just realised i dont actually know your name)

There are really awesome classical tunes out there.

Something different, but played in a classical way, what I really like is this
interpretation of Erich Zann's music (yeah, non existing, but they tried
to play something that "reminds" you of Erich Zann's music).
