Naberus - The Fallen (rawest thing in a while - JeffTD reamps)

Loving the wooden sound of the snare! Drums sound huge in general
Not big on the guitars and the rest though...maybe because it's not my kind of music
But it works great

Not a huge fan of your drums tone usually (because they do sound a bit mechanical/articial/sample-heavy to me) but i really like this one, and i guess that's because it has this "natural" vibe to it.

Well that's what we're going for. To make everyone happy at least once, haha. The reason I usually sample heavily is because most drummers don't cut it. This guy was one of the exceptions, and just had a great feel that would've been a total waste to sample over. I'd have even kept the kick mostly raw if the drum itself wasn't too small and resonated too high to be useful from a mix POV.

Seems the band have put up another:

Yeah sure having a great drummer helps :) I love the sound of good "live" drums being played by a pounding drummer a la Abe Cunningham.
But i also feel that for some bands/styles having samples/more artificial/mechanical-sounding drums fits well, see Fear Factory for instance (but i still enjoyed seeing them with a regular drums tone live with Gene Hoglan).
