New old amp day.:headbang:

Here is a short clip of my super awesome 50w Bedrock head.

OD808 -Mesa OS-57-GAP DLX low impedance-Audient i/o

Not your typical modern high gain amp but more of a thick, juicy, gooey, creamy tone machine, thanks to the EL84 power section.
I love this thing.

Nice find! Man, I really love these love these old oddball amps. Anyone can grab a 5150 and a V30-loaded Mesa, stick a TS and a 57 in there and get a good modern chugga chugga tone, but it's always the weird ones that are memorable, and it's all the more pleasing to get something good out of a piece of gear that isn't widely recognised!

By the way, you might want to keep a spare matched quad of EL84 nearby. From what I understand, Bedrock keep the 600 series biased really hot. The maximum plate dissipation for an EL84 is 12W, so the maximum power output for a quad is 48W total, and the generally considered safe bias is at around 70% making the "safe" total around 34W. I think these beasts actually do put out close to the maximum, which is kinda nuts, but apparently sounds good in this case! It does wear the tubes out really quickly, though, so I'd either keep some matched spares around or adjust the bias a bit colder and see how it affects the tone.

Thanks for the hint Jarkko.

The previous owner told me it has been fully serviced, with new tubes and bias setup but I think I going to play it safe and bring it to my tech (who is also my brother lol) to check if everything is ok.

The older I get, the more I want to hunt for rare and obscure gear. I love to get the ability to create something unique not to mention the mojo.

Heh, it's exactly the same for me. Shit, I've had this little 20-watt Jet City for some years, and while it pulled off the basic JCM high gain trick really well (even used it to reamp the guitars for a melodic death metal album), it really couldn't do anything else. I just had it's preamp modded to more of a Tweed Bassman type of sound with plenty of clean headroom, and now I absolutely love it. Great cleans, awesome dirt (nowhere near metal territory) and it eats fuzz pedals for breakfast. I also gave it a new look to complement the new sound:

Next I'll get rid of the V30's in my 4x12 and replace them with something smooth... :)
