I really, really need to hear Consuming Impulse.

Yeah you do, and those two from the vault things are fuckin gay. Get the OG on ebay. Trust me, even has tablature to Proliferous Souls.

Incantation - Onward To Golgotha (I love the production of this album, it's so muddy and horrible)
Autopsy - Mental Funeral
Therion - Beyond Sanctorum
Gorguts - Obscura

Haven't heard enough of the others.

how anyone can enjoy therion's muzak over something like Symphony Masses if baffling. Theli and everything after is damn boring.

yeah, the later albums don't hold up at all well to repeated listens. luckily i never bought any of them :Shedevil:

you do know the "done-to-death" stuff was released in the early 90's, right? that style was new then...

Individual Thought Patterns was Death's best release by far

I think J will love this. It's got a heavy metal vibe to it with LaRocque in the mix, but it's still death fucking metal. It's those old school Mercyful Fate melody breaks that really bring it home.

Unquestionable Presence is Atheist's best

Yeah, I'm baffled with this and anything else jazz fusion.

nothing Pestilence put out is worth owning

To the ovens with you.

Therion only got good once they started doing the classical thing

Mid-era Therion is good. New Therion is horrible.

I agree with everything said here.

well Piece of Time was not the wankfest I was expecting. It was actually a thrashy good time. comparing this to Cynic, it's simple, Piece of Time>>>Focus

Atheist remembered to be a death metal band, and not C3POmetal
