Need help with my Recto Amp Sim

According from user's manual:
This 1/4" jack and control provide a signal derived from the speaker jack. Perfect for using
either the DUAL or TRIPLE RECTIFIER Solo Head as a master pre-amp, or additional power amps may be connected for
more power when needed. Some players use this to derive an FX Send Signal and go to other amps for their wet
sound.
NOTE: Once a signal is taken from the Slave, it can not be inserted back into the FX Loop Return jack or a
feedback loop will occur. Much like holding a microphone into the PA system's cabinets...a loud high pitched
squeal will occur.

Don't know about shematics but you get same signal from FX loop send or slave out. And you need to turn with loop on for use this.
But I speak about 2 channels recto, not 3 channels:worship:

I don't have anything to add here but I just wanted to wish you good luck with your recto project. I'll make sure to throw out a donation when I've secured my driver's license (which is draining a big portion of my cash stash right now!).

Hey analgrinder333, here is the power amp schematic I was refering to :

dualrec2.gif

If this schematic is right, the signal taken from the slave output seems to include the power amp response. Anyway, the best way to clarify this is by recording both outputs and compare them.

The slave out is fed off the 4 ohm speaker out. So the signal is the preamp and power amp stages combined.

Here's a previous post as mentioned by Marcus.

We could possibly help you out bro, if time permits. We have a Dual Trem-O-Verb which has the best recto sound I have EVER heard. This thing, this particular head is just pure magic. And this is coming from a guy who wasn't too much into Recto's. I was always a 5150/ENGL guy.

Guess what my favorite amp is, now?

It'd be amazing to get this, or even CLOSE to this, in a sim!

PM me details, bro.

Judging from the clips, you're kind of in the ballpark, but nowhere near where I think it could be, given the proper resources!!!! Our Trem-O-Verb is fucking beasttttttttttt.

(yes, i know i keep saying this, but clips are coming!)

After you do the Recto, you should model a Peavey TripleX and call it LePorn

:OMG::OMG::OMG:

+1 for LePorn!!!!!!!!

and for LePou, when do you guess the new recto sim be ready? I'm anxious :)ill::ill::ill:) and have a couple of months visiting your page for new simulators!!

cheers!

PD

sorry for my english :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Thanks for the shematic and link:headbang:

For those who are interested here is a comparison between a real 3 channel Recto and my amp sim. Real Recto is on the left, sim is on the right. The real was taken from the effect loop, so it's only the preamp signal. Sim is the same, preamp only. Both signals are processed with Catharsis AWESOMETIME impulse. All settings are neutral in both cases.

RedModern

It's a work in progress.
A big thanks to monolithsound for the reamp tracks :headbang:

Sounding promising dude! :headbang: Though quite muffled IMO (the Red less than the Orange at least, which is why I prefer the Red), but I guess it's a good thing that both sides seem equally so ;) Probably means it could be remedied by different settings and/or choosing a different impulse anyway - keep up the good work man!

And yeah, thanks Justin/monolithsound for the help! :kickass:

Lets not forget that Those Catharsis impulses are fairly dark (in comparison to a lot of other impulses) so if you used a different IR you might get some more of that top end you're looking for.

Nothing against what Catharsis does - I love those IR's!...just saying. :)

Sounds really good, but am I the only one hearing lots of bass in those tones? (both the sim and the real amp)

Both clips sound quite good! Very close indeed. Amazing that it can come so close with an amp sim!

LePou, any chance of some Mac ampsim goodness any time soon?

Grrrr, hate having a Mac sometimes...I might buy a laptop this year though, and then I can utilize these awesome sims.
