Need help with my Recto Amp Sim

I'm actually surprised that not all amp simulation coding happens with reference tracks right there the whole time.

You need to have the resources. I have been fortunate enough to find someone willing to do the reamp for me this time. You know, I don't own a Recto. I have an XTC sim almost ready to be released and I have not been able to find someone to do some reamping.
I do my best to make my sims as much accurate as I can but... I don't have all the resources. That is probably the same for most (if not all) of the other freeware developers.

You're the man! Beautiful sound as expected from the guy who made some of the best ampsims ever!
Keep up with the amazing work.
I wish I could be of any help.

Really looking forward for that XTC sim too. Should be awesome for lead tones.

... And LePou if you ever end up doing a sim of the Bogner Fish, I might have to donate a kidney to you.

I understand. One of my old clients has an XTC, but he doesn't have reamping/recording gear available unfortunately.

That's quite admirable of you, to be totally shooting in the dark with the amp sims. I honestly wouldn't even attempt it with those odds, but you've definitely brought the goods with your works, so keep at it! The Boogie sim is really exciting, mostly because nobody has got it right in the past.

Hey LePou, sorry for the semi-OT, but I just wanted to mention that I used SoloC as the main source of distortion for the vid in this thread:

:D

Good stuff. Nice playing.
I'm a bit disappointed though... I thaught it was you on your avatar... but you're just... normal !

@Ermz : I don't totally shoot in the dark. I base my sims on schematics first. Then, as almost all schematics floating over the web are not 100% accurate, I compare my sims to clips I found on different forums and on you tube. It's definitely not perfect but it helps to evaluate if I'm in the ballpark or not. That's it. I just can't fine tune my sim that way. But with reamp tracks that's another story.

Hahaha, thanks man, and yup, hard as it may be to believe, in reality I actually am (somewhat) normal :D

Do you have a GUI made for the Boogie or XTC amp sim yet? Also, It may seem like a noob question, but what is the XTC amp sim based on?

@ LePou:
I have no idea of how to make amp sims, it´s rocket science for me. Anyway, I have a doubt (probably a very dumb one). When you´re modelling it, does it matter what settings are you using as reference? I mean, you asked for clips of a recto with all knobs on 50%. Does that mean that your amp sim can possibly be very close to the real deal with those settings, but very different when comparing with other settings?

That's not a dumb question at all. In fact, your absolutely right. But you know, I have to start somewhere. What you don't know is that I have already asked Justin to do more reamps, this time at different master settings. This should help me to figure out how the power amp reacts at different levels.
Regarding the preamp section, unless the schematic I used was completely wrong, I doubt that that the tone is gonna be very different at different settings. It still possible though. That's why I may ask Justin one more time to do some reamps for global validation of my sim... but don't tell him, he doesn't know yet !!!
