Need help with my Recto Amp Sim

All right then. I pretty confident in my tone stack model so maybe just different gain and presence settings for both red and orange channels would be ok. I'm gonna PM you with a more details. Thanks.

That's not a dumb question at all. In fact, your absolutely right. But you know, I have to start somewhere. What you don't know is that I have already asked Justin to do more reamps, this time at different master settings. This should help me to figure out how the power amp reacts at different levels.
Regarding the preamp section, unless the schematic I used was completely wrong, I doubt that that the tone is gonna be very different at different settings. It still possible though. That's why I may ask Justin one more time to do some reamps for global validation of my sim... but don't tell him, he doesn't know yet !!!

Thanks for the reply. I´m glad that you are aware of that. I always wondered if the sims from Line6 were modelled after a weird specific settings for them to sound so distant of the real deal. Your "beta" clips posted on this thread are really good. I´m longing for so long for a faithful Rectifier head, I think you´re close to become an "internet legend" on the audio community when you release this thing.

Can't wait for this! I will definitely be using it on future recordings. I KNOW it's going to sound AMAZING!

LePou, I check your site multiple times a day waiting for the LeCto. If it's anything like LeGion, I'm going to LOVE it, not to mention I LOVE the rectifier sound. From all the clips I've heard so far, this sounds to be the most accurate sounding Rectifier amp sim to date. If at all possible, I'd be honored to be in on the beta. I have a bunch of recordings I'm dying to match your sim up to. Again, looking forward to this like you can't believe! Thanks again LePou!

Hi,

If you wanna give a spin to the beta version of LeCto, here it is :

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1393938/RELEASE/LeCto/Poulin_LeCto_beta.rar

You’ll notice that the modern mode has a “Resonance” control. This will help you control the low end depending on the IR you’ll be using. You’ll most likely set it to 0 with Catharsis IRs for instance but you’ll probably need to crank it a little bit with Redwire IR. I don’t wanna get technical here but it is related the way the IRs have been captured (with or without power tube/speaker/cabinet interaction).

Anyway, let me know if you encounter any problems with it. And if so, give me as much details as possible and I’ll try to fix it as soon as possible (computer, DAW, etc).

Thanks for your time.

LePou

ps: As usual, putting a TubeScreamer in front is a good idea
ps: Thanks again to monolithsound for the reamps.

Definetly loving the resonance control, it really picks up the weight of the cab. The tone itself gets pretty fizzy before a good amount of gain picks up, but it responds very well to my DI's. I will post later tonight when i have messed with this more. Thanks again for all your hard work lepou
