Need help!

That's why I always sit at the back of the bus, so I don't have to stand up for the oldies and otherwise infirm. Not that I'm mean, but I like to sit.

That said, I have let people have my seat on a number of occasions, because I rule.

The worst thing I ever saw actually happened on a train and involved myself. I had badly injured my ankle and knee (as well as grazing alot of skin from my arm) in a fall at work so I had my entire right leg bandaged up and was walking with a supporting rod (yes, it was a walking cane but supporting rod sounds better hehe). I got on my train at North Sydney and it was chockers.... an old bloke (probably in his 60's) saw me hobbling around the carriage and got up and said "there ya go son, you look like you need a seat"

In the 5 seconds it took me to get across to the seat, some prick just sat straight down, put his headphones on and buried himself in a newspaper. The old guy turned and started to ABSOLUTELY blast this bloke about how it wasn't his seat and the guy totally ignored him, finally after about 5 minutes of beng yelled at he just looks up and says "well if you wanted to seat so bad you shouldn't have gotten up you old fart!"

I've never wanted to murder someone as strongly as I did that day!

I hate how noone helps any more. Everytime I stop and help someone they are so surprised, like they expect me to rob them or something.

Same here. I was walking out from work a couple of months ago, and an old lady whose husband had parked up at the side of the road fell while she was getting out of the car. So of course I stopped and helped her up, and I could tell she was nervous. And when picked up her handbag and handed it to her, she looked like she thought I was about to rifle through it and nick her pension book.

Meanwhile her husband's sitting in the car, oblivious :) Maybe he was trying to knock her off by throwing her out the door?;)

ahh well dude, can't be with 'em all the time I guess, but when you found out you should of gone off abusing everyone in sight :D
Now that you mention it, there was a lot of swords and stuff around. I should have smashed open a display case, snatched up Anduril and shouted "Bastards! This is what you get for not helping my wife!" and gone berko.

Except now I'd be in gaol. :(

That sucks :( Oh well, ill head down there and have a look anyway, it isnt far to walk. Is it expensive to get in?

Well we could aford to go on a family ticket so I am sure you could aford it. I don't know what individual tickets are.
That's another thing I was anoyed at on Saturday...getting on the bus at Newtown all seats were full or people sitting on the aile(scuse the spelling) seat so I couldn't get by, no one offord to get up for me. So I had to stand for most of the journey.

How pregnant are you, Xena? Full-on, big-belly, could-pop-a-kid-out-at-any-day pregnant or are you just starting to show? Because it might be that people don't actually know you're pregnant.

Spiffo still likes to have some faith in humanity... or at least give them the benefit of the doubt.

Actually I am 5 1/2 months and obviously pregnant.I mean up here in the mountains the bus I catch into town has hardly a soul on it how ever if somone is sitting in the seat that is meant for less mobile people either the bus driver boots them to another seat or they offer it up for me.Plus I have had for 2 months people even complete strangers congratulating me on being pregnant.
I was a very small person in the first place and showed pretty quickly.

Sydney is full of selfish idiots who move around with blinders on. If it doesn't affect them or it's not right in front of them, they just don't see it. I bought a pie from the buttery in Katoomba one day and forgot I had no money, so the lady just let me pay for it the next time I went in. Try doing that in Sydney.

Here's the link for info on the LOTR exhibition: http://www.phm.gov.au/lotr/

Tix are about $20 which includes general entry to the museum.
