I'm not a Nevermore fan at all really, can't get into them. But... have you guys heard Sanctuary???

I love what I've heard of them when they were called that! Warren had a great voice on those albums too! He sang so high! Hehehe.

Hmm, I really like 'Nevermore', but haven't heard any of that stuff.

Whats it like?

On an unrelated note, Troops, I am giving 'Power Metal' the first proper listen now. Is a little glammier than I imagined, but its good glam. Has some really awesome moments, I will get back to you with a proper review once I've givin it a decent listen. :)

Got both albums, Dave Mustaine produced one of them, and both are pretty good, Nevermore absolutely slays them though :D

I can see why you like them though Troops, its quite 80s style Judas Priestish stuff! :)

Yeah it is Spawn. Very cool thrashy '80s heavy metal really.

Hehe yeah Blitzy songs like "Rock The World", "Hard Ride" and "Proud To Be Loud" are a bit glammy, not really glam though I think. Some songs are just '80s thrash too I think. Overall though its just typical '80s heavy metal I think, done quite well too :)

Although the stuff on the other CD is glam, and not exactly well produced, well written or well played either ;) The songs on that are decent ones though which have potential to be good with some better production I reckon.

Well I finished listenin to both of them, and yeah, PM is just a plain 80s metal album, with some good songs (Over & Out rules!), and some average stuff too. Strangely, Phils voice sounded a little like Bruce's on the tracks 'Hard Ride' and 'Burnnn!' I reckon!

I see what you mean about the other disc. Some potential in the tracks, but done fairly poorly. Phil shits on the original singer too.

I am interested in hearing some of this 'Sanctuary' stuff though. Any suggestions?

I reckon the first half of Power Metal is just amazing, not a weak spot there really. But the only really awesome song I think in the 2nd half is 'Hard Ride'. Burnnn! rocks too though... and there is some good thrashy riffs in Down Below and Death Trap.

The first 5 songs are killer though hehe.

"Die For My Sins" is an awesome Sanctuary song, download that! And "Future Tense" is good too :)
