NEVERMORE To Work With Ex-QUEENSRŸCHE Guitarist On Upcoming CD - Jan. 21, 2003

NEVERMORE are set to enter a Seattle studio shortly with producer Kelly Gray (QUEENSRŸCHE, SLAVE TO THE SYSTEM, DOKKEN) to begin recording the much-anticipated follow-up to 2000's "Dead Heart in a Dead World".

The forthcoming CD, tentatively titled "Enemies Of Reality" may or may not be mixed by acclaimed British producer Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, STUCK MOJO, SKINLAB), who worked with the band during the "Dead Heart…" sessions.

"It looks like [NEVEMORE] are tracking [the next album] with Kelly Gray in Seattle," Sneap confirmed in an online posting. "I may be mixing it, I may not, all depends what they want to do. It's not that either party wanted to do it differently this time around, just due to schedules clashing and the label keeping the budget low due to it being their last one [for longtime label] Century Media [Records]."

The Seattle-based group, who feature in their ranks former members of the popular '80s power metal act SANCTUARY, spent much of the last year fighting with Century Media over budget- and promotion-related issued pertaining to the forthcoming release, which marks the band's last CD for Century Media under their current five-album contract with the label.

NEVERMORE, considered by many to be one of Century Media's top acts, are believed to be entertaining offers from several other record companies, including Nuclear Blast Records, who are said to have the inside track to sign the group following the expiration of their current agreement.

Among the cuts that are tentatively set to appear on "Enemies Of Reality" are the following:

01. The Story Of Our End
02. Who Decides
03. The Song Of The Solemn One
04. Enemies Of Reality
05. Psychotic Intellectual Narcotic
06. Tomorrow Turned Into Yesterday
07. Abomination

A late 2003 release through Century Media is expected.

and a possible WWIII before that. lovely.
but really, it's not the band's fault (unlike I loved to think), so, .... better late than never.

who will give two shits by then except for the neverheads.....the only hope i see is lack of big budget means no more hella over-produced shit like d.h.i.d.w...........seriously you guys:lol:

tnx wendy :) ya, gimme back my rough POE sounding masterpiece

Thnx, Wendy.. :)

*sighs*...late 2003... :erk:

This album has GOT to kick major ass!
I hope that Nevermore can turn the dirt, that CM
has left behind, into gold!
And show CM a big :yell: FUCK YOU! :yell: when they get
another record deal!!!!!
I dunno what's going on, i'm a nitwit! when it comes to contracts and deals but i do know, that the music business is a stinky and filthy thing.
It upsets me to see that musicians that try to work there ass off, get treated this way and the commercial crap, that is all arranged and strategic created by a guy that owns the band, gets all the credits!! Nevermore doesn't deserve this kind of treatement, in my opinion. But again, i don't know shit about contracts, 'n stuff.
I only know these are vulnerable subjects and many musicians get pissed, by even asking them about it and i think i start to realise why that is..........
Let's just hope this will only do good to Nevermore and release that album with some fucking nuclear blast, to wash away CM for good!!!!!! (ok, i get the irony of this but i'm not suggesting anything here  it was just a way of speaking!!!)

Hang on in there guys and use the time, to do what you do best:
:yell: create some fucking good METAL!!! :yell:

-x-

indeed, i currently have Dark Tranquillity blaring, so this will hold me over until then... so much for dead6 incognito eh?

Late 2003. Fucking perfect. This album better make my very unholy bowels spill forth into my pants, or the four horsemen will come for Mr. Dane's soul.

I'm sure the man would know I'm joking. But I can't help but become dissapointed at the fact that the release date keeps being pushed back... Better than what In Flames did with their last album... fucking rush job.
