A little odd but very happy to have a full headline show in Australia,it’s been 13 years since they have done a proper tour in Australia ,last 2 times have been festivals where u get 40 min set in middle of the day ,I’m sure we will get 1 new song in the set ,at least it will set upFrank Say the single will be out late January.
Didn't happen.
They start the Canadian dates without new material to support, maybe the Oz tour too...This whole situation don't smell good imo.![]()
The last album sold pretty well ,I’m a bit annoyed but it does build up anticipation regardless ,they are getting bigger with ageANTHRAX's Long-Awaited New Studio Album Is Tentatively Due In May 2026, Says FRANK BELLO

ANTHRAX's Long-Awaited New Studio Album Is Tentatively Due In May 2026, Says FRANK BELLO
ANTHRAX's long-awaited new studio album is tentatively due in May in North America via Megaforce and in Europe through Nuclear Blast. The mixing sessions, as well as some of the recording sessions, for the LP took place at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 in Northridge, California. ANTHRAX once again...blabbermouth.net
I don’t know what the band is trying to achieve, but the updates on their official website are absolutely dismal. The last update was on November 13, 2025 — and since then, nothing. No mention of shooting a music video, no mention of a new album.
We’re not living in the last century anymore, when fans relied solely on magazines for news about their favorite bands. There’s YouTube, Facebook, and plenty of other platforms where videos and updates can be shared to keep fans in the loop. Filming a few short studio clips on a phone is something even a trained monkey could manage these days — yet apparently that’s still too much to expect.
The band should also realize that their position in the music industry is no longer as strong as it once was, and they should be fighting to keep their fanbase engaged. What they’ve been doing over the past several years, however, feels less like strategy and more like outright neglect.
Just for fun — and maybe as a small reality check — here are the current YouTube subscriber numbers of the former “Big Four”:
Metallica – 12.2 million
Slayer – 5.5 million
Megadeth – 1.75 million
Anthrax – 343 thousand
Quite an interesting picture, isn’t it?
You're right. I can't understand their behaviour about fanbase. Back in time, They post some footage of the WM sessions. they kept the bulb enlighten. Add that with their conservative playlist on stage. No really I can't understand what they are doing.ANTHRAX's Long-Awaited New Studio Album Is Tentatively Due In May 2026, Says FRANK BELLO
