I would need to say Opeth as a definate, probably Bodom for their huge influence, I am not sure about others. Some young bands, like Trivium, are really yet to prove themselves but could be huge. Trivium's Ascendency minus the vocals is basically a perfect metalcore album, the Crusade was rushed but the style is definetely down and there is some great instrumentation, there is potential in them. DragonForce likewise have come at just the right time to make power metal mainstream and whether or not they can play for shit live wont matter if they manage to pull arena crowds of people that were gobsmacked by MTV.

Too make a few black horse predictions: Negura Bunget, Isis, Mael Mordha and Ne Obliviscaris.

I guess Cripple Bastards will be a classic from grindcore, and i'm not sure about any heavy metal band, cuz, to me, There isn't any great band that i believe will be a classic from heavy metal... maybe Primal Fear or Hammerfall... i dunno
