New CD's that you have gotten recently

I never saw what was so great about Zuul either.
I know Bob will come here and defend them to the death because they are a "scene" band.
I have listened to most of their stuff on You Tube and have the one track on that Warriors of Metal comp.
Just another one of the zillion new bands that use lo fi production to sound "traditional"

If anyone has suggested tracks of their newer material to change my mind on them then please post them here.

I am actually very surprised they weren't asked to play Ragnarokkr.
Seems like most here like them and they have a new album.
Would have been a perfect fit.

Yeah, as I said before, I would be willing to check them out live based on people's reviews of how they are live.

That's what made me check out High Spirits live the one time I did, based on Bob's rave reviews. I think they are much better live than on disc, where I think they are lighter than White Lion.

Zuul was booked and on the poster are for the first Ragnarokkr actually. I dont think they were considered this year since things picked up really fast for bands wanting to get on this one.

Zuul and High Spirits were booked for the first Ragnarokkr but dropped off for an undisclosed reason that Mike never divulged when I asked.

I almost pulled the trigger on this the other day but decided against it for some reason.

I've listened to about 1/2 of each disc and it is pretty good stuff. All decent quality recordings though the second CD the first half has been programmed drums (which the main guy in the band apologizes for in the book). Still good tunes though as a drummer the electronic drums bug me. Really nice book with all the lyrics, notes on each song, history and mini interview.

I really just wanted to order the Air Raid disc and the artwork for Detest caught my eye then the samples caught my ears.

Detest is awesome, and i think the artwork is cool. Nothing flashy at all. I would say dont let the logo fool you.

yeah...I think people will pass this up which is too bad. Solid release from start to finish.
