New Circus Maximus tunes.....

I am very much looking forward to this...

I tell you, the guys in CM have done a fantastic job keeping their fans up-to-date on their forum... they have had a studio diary thread that they have been posting to at least once a week. I have no doubt that they've got an album that will surpass The 1st Chapter in the can (and that's a mighty BOLD statement considering how much I loved the 1st CD!)
 
A disc I am VERY much looking forward to.

However theres plenty of 2007 left, and a ton of releases still to come before anything can be called "disc of the year". :cool:
 
We heard some full fucking songs at the Showcase last year and they were amazing.

This will be a first day purchase...if I have the money at the time (I should). I can only hope that it's around the same time as the official US release of the new Raintime, so I can own them both at the same time and revel in one album I already know is awesome and another that I know WILL be awesome.

I dont think it will be more of the same. From the mini clips I have heard, it is amazing! But that is coming from someone who thought the last album was more than good and IMO was a breath of fresh air compared to many of the other albums that came out that year!

Mike is the next Roy Khan. No doubt. Fluid, effortless, emotion filled vocals so much like Khan's style. Not too suprising though as I believe Mike is a big fan of Khan's (like me!). I remember Mike doing some backing vocals with Conception on stage at PP6. The new CM is my most anticipated prog release this year, hands down.

It's going to be KILLER no doubt, but I'm expecting them to have discovered more of their own sound and style and try to distance themselves a bit more from the SX and DT leanings that were much of the fabric of "The First Chapter." Chapter 2 will be bigger and better, I'm certain!!!
 
CM is certainly one of the best new progressive metal bands to come out in a long time and I have no doubts that they will become larger than life in Europe and hopefully make a dent in the American music scene as well.
Although, I don't see that happening until American Idol gets cancelled. LOL!

Hello there friends!



It`s been a while, but for the last 9 months we have been preparing a new album for you and now it is finally DONE !!


The name of the album is “ISOLATE” and has this dark approach to it, although we have of course still kept the melodic touch that Circus Maximus is all about.


The album ended up being a concept-album although that was never the intention, but as the songs and the lyrics went along the story just added itself.



To make it short ... The story is about how much you can loose until you go completely mad, and how much have lost when insanity finally embraces you. It's really up to the listener (and reader ...) to intepret the story themselves, because it can be understood in different ways and we don't want to spoil the surprise … hehe.



There’s one instrumental among the 9 songs, 1 real epic tune clocking in at almost 13 minutes as well as another 9 minute tune.



Here are the song titles:

5. Arrival Of Love
6. Zero
7. Mouth Of Madness
8. From Childhood's Hour
9. Ultimate Sacrifice



So there you have it … The release-date so far is end of August ’07 for Europe and either end of August or early September ’07 for North America. As for the rest of the world, our management is currently looking for a licensing partner.



In the meanwhile have a great summer, and we hope to see you at one of the many festivals we’ll be playing soon. A new website is also in the making and will be launched real soon – there you will also be able to get a preview of our new music.
