New Katatonia album = AWESOME

i read Omerta was Jonas passion for singer/songwriter low-fi style. anders stated that over on the katatonia forum. so its obviously not a cover.

yeah this song really great... But at Katatonia forum Chris@Digitalmetal.com who has the album was talking about the abrupt ending and Anders said it was suppoesed to be like that but it´s been a while and my memory is not the best But I hope I´m wrong cause I´d like an ending for this awesome song...

I am not to happy about the fact that the album is supposedly "heavier". I listen to Katatonia because they AREN'T heavy, and because they convey a truly melancholy sound, moreso than any other band in my opinion. From what I am hearing they seem to have lost this ability...

Well it's heavier and angrier. The melancholy feeling is gone but there's this new angry sadness. It's good, but it's different.

Also some of the lyrics are weird but good..... "he went too far, the fucker, it's not like i owe him money".......

sounds bad the first few times but its good after that.

The melancholy feel of the older albums is what defines Katatonia for me, along with the hypnotic guitar lines, so I'm still apprehensive about this album...

I've only heard the 3 promo tracks, and while they initially didn't do all that much for me, I've grown to really, really like them. If these songs are a good indicator of the album, then it's going to rock. Especially if they have more songs like Criminals.
