Newest South Park NEVERMORE related. (kind of).

Chances are that it was a Nevermore reference. I believe both Matt Stone and Trey Parker like the metal genre and the two actually met at Berklee in Boston.

There was even another Nevermore reference that was mentioned last year a couple of times on the forum. Even though the face on the shirt was Edgar Allen Poe, look at the lettering:

Thank you for pointing this out. I've been trying to do this for awhile.

Taking a Gothic Lit class right now. Just started reading the Alienist. If anyone's read it, I'd like to know if I'm in for a borefest (even though it's pretty good thus far).

Emo seems to me like a distillation of the worst, most childish aspects of what goth subculture has become. It is a perfect storm of self-centered faux self-loathing cry for attention. I don't particularly endorse the goth scene but I'll take Bauhaus and Byron over anything Emo has to offer.

The newest "South Park" episode had "cartman" saying something like: "Every night , I see the same dream." This is similiar to lyrics in " I Am The Dog". I can confirm this.

...sounds like Groundhogs Day.

I find Lovecraft superior to Poe. That is some of the only real horror I've ever come across. The end of "The Rats in the Walls" will give anyone deep shivers.

Just get any story collection you'll find in Barnes and Noble or Borders or wherever with his "best" works. That's pretty much how all of his works have been released, as collections.
