NFL 2009

Maybe JJ knows something about the draft that we don't. 1st round picks really aren't where you "make your money" drafting anyway.

8-8 or 9-7. I'm dreading this season.

We cut Roy William (safety version) today.
While I do hate him, I'd like to see us maybe get some replacements for all these guys we're just cutting.

It could be said that Roy Williams (receiver version) would be the replacement for TO, and they already had a couple good young safeties back there iirc. Who else did they cut?

I'm more optimistic. I think they'll go 11-5 or 10-6 if everyone stays healthy and make a decent run in the playoffs, maybe win one playoff game.

Don't count on it.
And no... we have Pat Watkins at safety... and he's a special teamer at best. Keith Davis is a FA, and he was the only one even close to serviceable. We're about to go in to a period in which the Texas Rangers are the best Dallas sports team, with only the Stars even competing for that title.

I'm curious to see where Byron Leftwich ultimately winds up. I do not see the Steelers keeping him at all, since they already have Roethlisberger, they're committed on retaining Charlie Batch, and they have Dennis Dixon sitting back and learning from them. I don't see him being a Steeler this year, since he's a free agent and wants to play, despite the fact that he's happy with the team. He can definitely start somewhere. It's too bad the Steelers didn't sign him for another year so they could actually get something for him instead of lose him to free agency like they do with so many players so often. They already lost Nate Washington, and their third stringer is Limas Sweed. :erk:

SHUT UP

I like how he stayed on the ground for a few minutes while his ego mended.

I'd like to see the Bears bring in Leftwich, but they won't. Orton isn't very good. The backup right now is Brett Basanez, who I'm interested in seeing, since the Bears have never had a mobile QB. They don't seem to want to spent much in free agency.

The biggest story of 2009 so far is the Redskins giving Alber Haynesworth 41 millions guerenteed.

What the fuck is wrong with their front office.

Anyway, the Giants signed Rocky Bernard and Chris Canty. Look for them to trade Osi or Kiwi for a wide rec. now or in the draft.

 Yeah, there's no fucking way he was hurt when he fell. That was a very embarassing drop.

Orton was playing really good up until he hurt his ankle. Then he came back too early and he just wasn't the same. I think he'll be pretty good this year man.

I'm really just happy enough that we will get enough ticket sales and press now that our team won't move to Toronto

Orton will do just fine. bad thing is, there are no receivers.
Jerry Angelo is a fucking cunt. They could have had TJ Houshmandzadeh.
Quit worrying about the QB position. It's secured. Get an O line, defensive backs, and a good receiver. Devin Hester is NOT a #1
pisses me off. While the good teams draft well year in and year out. The Bears are fucking terrible at it.
