NFL!!!

IMHO Brady is playing scared.. I never really thought too long on the mental damage that taking a hit below the knee and season ending surgery could have had but there were several times in The Jets game where he got up looking for a flag or started crying foul.... He NEVER used to do that.

I really love the heart The Pats have shown in the two games they've played
but there is no doubt that they should be 0-2. I am just hoping Belichick can get things together cause if not they don't even have a viable backup with Cassel in KC.. Things in the AFC East are about to get interesting.....

And on a side note....... FUCK THE DOLPHINS!!!!! I have always hated them but the one time I actually pull for them........:hotjump:

Congrats Thraxx as ugly as it seems a WIN is a WIN and like T Man said it was divisional!!!

The Pats looked confused, hey T man, what is the story over there?? i know Seymour is with Oak, and they lost a lot of people on defense but Brady looks like he can't get into Rythm???

Ray Lewis what can I say???? still Chargers should missed to score on the red zone twice, i mean all the backups jumping way too many penalties!!!!!!

The Fins had the ball for 45 mins last night and still lost. Payton Manning still is a great QB. Did you see the poll they had last night? Will Dallas win a Superbowl with Romo as QB? All 50 states said................ NO! What about this?

49ers claim Jets tampered with Crabtree

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The 49ers have filed tampering charges against the New York Jets regarding top San Francisco draft pick Michael Crabtree, Jets coach Rex Ryan confirmed Monday.

"My understanding is they filed charges with the league," Ryan said. "I'm saying my response is it's not true. I mean, it's not accurate. It's not true, but, hey, we'll let the league figure this out."

When asked Monday if his team filed charges, 49ers coach Mike Singletary said it's a situation "the league is going to handle internally."

"I'm not going to get into that. We'll let that play out, the process," Singletary said. "I'm not even going to go there. We'll let the league handle that and go from there."

The 22-year-old Crabtree, selected No. 10 overall by the Niners in April's draft, is the last draft pick not signed. The wide receiver is seeking money comparable to higher picks and hasn't accepted the 49ers' offer for approximately five years and $20 million, with a reported $16 million guaranteed.

The tampering charges were first reported by the New York Daily News.

Flavio, Ray admitted to watching a ton of game film and studying River's hands. He followed his heart on the rush and not only stopped Sproles but shoved BACKWARDS for a 5 yard loss.

Ray puts out 1000 lbs. of force during full powered tackles. You can see evidence of this if hit a search for Sports Science.

In that video a Swat team cop and Ray Lewis both take down a door that bolted and locked.

The Swat cop uses one of those minature battering rams... about 800 pounds of force, breaks the lock and the door opens.

Lewis hits that door in full pads and gear so hard the screws are ripped out of the door frame, and the lock is busted right off and i think the door even splits in half. :heh::OMG::headbang:

That was hilarious Thraxx!!! I was hoping I wasn't the only one who saw that but hey, the truth hurts I don't know who the backup QB in Dallas is but he can't be much worse!!

Like when Carson Palmer came back after the surgery it took a little more than half the season for him to start playing with confidence, i don't blame Brady it must be scary thinking he could get injured again.

Seriously.. With all the praise heaped onto this guy by the media he could be the NFL version of Obama:lol: And the writer of the article obviously isn't a football fan.. I mean "One bad game"? This guy must be either sucking Tony off or is blind and watching the games in braille!!!!

Tony Dorsett rips into Tony Romo

By MJD
ept_sports_nfl_experts-621122966-1253814706.jpg
Tony Romo(notes) had a really bad game against the Giants on Sunday night. A really, really bad game. In a contest where the Cowboys were able to run the ball with ease, Romo threw three interceptions, all of which led to Giants touchdowns and directly handed a prime-time, network television win to the evil, hated Giants.
Romo was awful. He knows it. He admits it.
Does one bad game make him a bad quarterback, though? To some, evidently, it does. Former running back and Cowboys legend Tony Dorsett lashed out at Romo in a radio interview earlier this week.
"I don't know why on God's earth Tony Romo has been anointed a superstar in the National Football League. Tony is very young in his career. Not to say you can't be young in your career and be a superstar because you've got one up there in Minnesota in Adrian Peterson.
"But the thing is this: You have a guy who hasn't done much, and quarterbacks in the NFL, most of them go through this growing curve. He hasn't gone through that growing curve, but he was anointed this great player all of a sudden. Now he's having to live up to that. And obviously Tony has some deficiencies.
"He's a good player who's still learning how to play in the NFL, and I think the media has given him too much credit for doing nothing. He hasn't done anything really in the NFL to deserve all the recognition and visibility he's gotten so far."

TMan, I know you hate Romo, but as a Dallas fan, I want to repost this:

Look at the numbers: For three straight years, Romo's had a quarterback rating in the 90s, putting him in the league's top 10 all three years, and in the top five twice. Are we going to pretend that didn't happen? Does that not count, for some reason?

He is the active NFL leader in yards-per-pass-attempt -- ahead of Brady, Manning, Roethlisberger, Warner, and everyone else. He's fourth all-time in the same statistic. He was second in the league in passing touchdowns to Tom Brady's(notes) other-wordly 50 in 2007. He's been to two Pro Bowls.
No one handed him those things. He earned them by being a damn good quarterback.

Now, all of that said, it's true that he's yet to win a playoff game, he's failed in some big moments, and in Dallas, they're used to winning playoff games and Super Bowls. I get that. But honestly, has Romo been the only flaw on the team? Is he the sole reason the Cowboys have lost those big games? Absolutely not.

And I will grant that some of Tony Romo's notoriety comes from being Jessica Simpson's love interest for a while, but let's not get it twisted. He's been a good quarterback, too. Dorsett's talking about Romo like he's Rex Grossman(notes) or something. Tony Romo has played at a very high level for the last three years, and one bad game in prime time and the scorn of Tony Dorsett can't erase that."

So there you have it. Hate on.

I hope he can put the distractions aside, and maybe, Garrett can do some better game-planning. otherwise it's gonna be a long season. Sometimes I think he wants to be way too much like Favre, and that's not a good thing.

TMan, I know you hate Romo, but as a Dallas fan, I want to repost this:.
I don't hate Tony Romo!! It's important to point that out....BUT, I call it like it is... Including my favorite team, Brady doesn't get any slack after a year off either...Winners win.. And losers set every record available except ALL catagories related to the Super Bowl.. Sorry but it's true.. Ask Tom Brady if he would like to be the "NFL leader in yards per pass attempts" instead of multiple Super Bowl Champion....I already know the anwser to that question!

And what's it got him?? Undeserved credit for not winning a playoff game since 2003 (1996 for the team) choking in EVERY big moment where a good QB can ascend to great? So in retrospect are all these "Great" stats of his really that important? Ask Jerry Jones if he wants his own Dan Marino of the Cowboys...(Keeping in mind that Romo doesn't have a pinky fingers worth of the talent that sissy Marino did....Him I have always HATED!!!) All stats and no rings...Think I know the anwser to that one too

Sometimes I think he wants to be way too much like Favre, and that's not a good thing.
OF course he wants to be like Brett!!! Brett won the big games on numerous occassions in his youth... Favre at one time was great.... Nobody's saying that about Romo. He's the QB good for needless stats, who was putting it to an extremely hot chick and who is widely respected for reasons even great ex Cowboy's have no clue.. I know you don't like it and you know... Oh well, I am not hating on you (Or Romo) but if honesty presents a problem for you I can see how it would look like I am.. But I didn't make up that poll on MNF so obviously other people besides me see this for what it is.

I hope he can put the distractions aside, and maybe, Garrett can do some better game-planning.
You're blaming Jason Garrett for the fact that Romo can't stop throwing picks?!? That's just sad bro!! And that's exactly what I mean when I say "delusional fans" You blame Garrett for Romos lack of skill to play his position...THAT'S JUST WEAK.

Nope. Romo is responsible for Romo. Agreed. And that one pick to the safety was one of the WORST throws I have ever seen. EVER.

But when you are AVERAGING 8.7 yds a carry, NO ONE should be passing. For that I blame Garrett. Unless Romo changed the play (possible), which would be retarded.

Let's face it, Romo, for better or worse is the QB (for now) of Dallas. By far the best franchise QB since Aikman (I doubt if I will hear any disagreement about that). But when you are the QB of the most popular sports franchise in America (also the most valuable) EVERY single thing you do is scrutinized. Romo has not been anything but a very good regular season QB (for the most part), and the ridiculous amount of press tossed his way is just that: press.

I say give the man a break. How long before Peyton won anything? And Romo was a UFA. Think about it. He's doing OK. The stats say that. Let the press make mountains out of molehills. I try as hard as I can to be fair about all things concerning sports. Romo is good. Not great. The Dallas "D" (or lack therof) is just as responsible (if not more so) for last Sunday Night's meltdown. And last seasons debacle as well.

As far as BF goes: he was good. Had a great team around him, and could not get the 2nd Super Bowl.

As we all know, football is a TEAM sport. Romo wins and loses, and bangs hot chicks, but it is still the Dallas Cowboys who are responsible for the W-L ratio. Romo helps or hinders and he is the catalyst for good or bad. Any realist knows, the Dallas Cowboys have been far better with him, then they were before. End of story.

Go Cowboys.

Have a Blatz Tman; I still like Brady. Although jealousy is also evident here as well. As least he played for a good school: U of M.

Specto Caelum.

GO RAVENS !!!!! 3-0 as of today. Pasting the Browns 34-3 was just awesome.

3 games with 30 or more scored by us....HOLY SHIT I THINK WE ALMOST HAVE AN OFFENSE !!!

BENCH RUSSELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Raiders will never win with JaMarcus. Its was 90 at the game yesterday and i have seen them lose a few times but yesterday was horrible. We boo'ed everyone from Ed Hockuley to Al Davis. I think we are playing the same plays that we used in the Stuperbowl. There is no light at the end of the road. Trade Russell so he can break records and the Raiders will have a chance.

Raiders offense regresses; Denver flies to 3-0

(09-27) 19:33 PDT -- The Raiders had grand designs for Sunday's showdown with the Broncos. The AFC West lead was theirs for the taking. Their first 2-1 start in five years was four quarters away. And what did the Raiders do with their big chance to scream "We're No. 1"? Throw it onto the Broncos' lap and let them run off with a 23-3 stomp-down at the Coliseum.

As it turns out, those new and improved Raiders (1-2) went back to being the same can't-pass, can't-tackle bunch that's made the past six seasons such a phenomenal waste of hope.

"I'm shocked right now," Raiders coach Tom Cable said. "I know how much work we have to do to get where we want to be."

"We" starts with quarterback JaMarcus Russell, who was 12 of 21 for 61 yards with two interceptions and a 22.6 passer rating. Add running back Darren McFadden and his three fumbles on a 45-yard rushing day.

Heck, go ahead and throw the entire offense in there after it had a measly 137 total yards to go with last week's 166-yard workday.

This is just the second time they had less than 200 total yards in consecutive games since 1993, the other coming under ridiculed offensive coordinator Tom Walsh in 2006.

Cable is the one calling plays these days, and even he's got to be wondering what to do with Russell, a 41.3-percent passer with 378 passing yards and a 1-to-4 touchdown-to-interception ratio.

Many of the fans at Sunday's game had their own ideas, most of them involving Bruce Gradkowski coming off the bench (Cable still says no to the idea).

They booed Russell off the field when he was intercepted on the Raiders' second drive of the game, a play where Darrius Heyward-Bey slipped and fell on his route. They booed again on the Raiders' next drive, when Russell overthrew Heyward-Bey for another interception.

They booed every time after that when Russell took the field or threw an incomplete pass. It got so bad, left tackle Mario Henderson at one point clapped for Russell and patted his helmet while the crowd chanted, "JaMarcus sucks."

What did Russell say of it all? That both interceptions should have been ruled defensive pass interference, and that other than that, "I think I did all right. ... I try to play with no regrets."

He completed two passes to a wide receiver, both on the same second-quarter drive to Louis Murphy. Eight passes were check down screens to the running backs, and two went to tight end Zach Miller.

None of it was nearly enough to appease the mob, much less keep the Raiders in the game.

"You still gotta stick behind him 'cause he is the quarterback," cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha said. "As long as he's the quarterback, you kind of have to help his confidence level because you only go as far as he goes."So far, not far at all. His 57.1-percent completion rate was tempered by a 5.08 yards per completion rate. All that bought was a 48-yard field goal.

"This is the NFL, we've got to be better," said Heyward-Bey, who remains stuck on one catch in three starts.

As for that run defense, they rediscovered their dastardly ways. Correll Buckhalter rushed 14 times for 108 yards. Knowshon Moreno added 21 rushes for 90 yards and a touchdown.

Throw in no sacks or quarterback hurries, and the defense purchased its fair share of the blame.

Moral of the story? Sorry play might beat the winless Chiefs, but it doesn't work against the unbeaten Broncos - or any other upper-half NFL team.

"There's some glaring problems that need to be fixed," Asomugha said. "So I don't think we quite have a read on who we are, and that's concerning.

"At this point, you want to know what type of team you are and have an idea of what the outcome is going to be."

Play like this again, and the outcome will be easy to guess.

Romo is good. Not great.
That's the exact point that me and I think Dorsett are trying to make.. It gets real old seeing all this praise heaped onto a QB who is definitely on the mediocre side of good and not the impending greatness side. I don't feel strongly about his talents or skills at all!!! The reason I don't hate him is his ridiculously strong character!! I mean he throws three picks and has them all run back to the house and he doesn't play the blame game or throw his hands up in the air, act like a crybaby or anything.. He takes it like a man (And has for as long as I have seen him play) and I think there is something to be said for that and even though I am not a Cowboys fan (At all!!!) I am pulling for him to get a Super Bowl win just because he is well above great on the coolness meter!!

But if you want to talk about a great QB who's needle is pointing down towards the good/very good column it's Brady.. All the bitching, pissing and moaning about Galloway not coming up with a catch he almost certainly wouldn't have hung on to with the safety running full steam at him was just sad!! I seriously hope he can put it together and get back to the Tom Brady of old, but all the overthrows then whinning about said receivers not coming up with the catches makes him look really bad (Marino wussy like). If I am to be honest I think Tom is starting the downward trek from greatness, I mean don't get me wrong a good/very good Brady will beat 90% of the teams in the NFL but unless it's still hangover from a year off he is showing weakness in his game.

Well, when you are the QB of the Dallas Cowboys, the media will be oh-so-glad to build you up and then tear you down. The national spotlight is fixed pretty heavily on them, and Romo in particular. Like being the starting pitcher for the NY Yankees. Romo, probably got way too many accolades between '06 and '07, and the expectations are high. I still think the game planning, and the "D" (or lack therof) is just as responsible for the Cowboys ritual descent into oblivion in December & January. I am pulling for Romo, but I just want to see him make better decisions.

As far as Brady goes, I am not sure what is going on. You are correct, in that he can still beat 90% of the NFL almost single-handedly. I suppose the big picture is that his injury may have put a little fear into him. And why not? He has nothing to prove; a supermodel wife with a bun in the oven, a sure fire trip to the Football HoF. Why risk it all? He is already regarded as one of the greatest. So, maybe that's in his head.

But I wouldn't be surprised at all, if he has a stellar year, either. But this being the NFL, you never know what is going to happen.

I do know if the Cowboys choke tonight, there will be Big Trouble in Big D. This team has a harsh schedule in the 2nd half, and if they are to make the playoffs, they need every game they can get....especially a team like the Panthers.

Go Dallas.:kickass:

The Steelers! Man San Diego almost had a chance. Tonight Fave will beat the Pack! The Raiders are done! Ja MAMa = loss!

The Raiders are done! Ja MAMa = loss!
What a crazy week!!! Thraxx, what the hell is going on over there? I concede that Russell is HORRIBLE!! I was blinded by the fact that he's so big I thought he could be like Culpepper and Big Ben.. I was extremely wrong!!
Not to mention your coach is probably going to jail!?!? Damn dude, you season ticket holders ought to demand a refund cause Al is screwing you guys hardcore!!

And out of respect for Vomit who's football posts I enjoy reading I am not even going to voice my opinion on Romo, but suffice to say it hasn't changed all that much.

And even though The Pats won I am getting really tired of seeing Brady act like such a crybaby bitch!! He could take a lesson from Romo on self respect.

And speaking of that did anyone catch Rodney Harisson speaking the truth on Sunday night? He hit the nail right on the head...It's time for Brady to stop whining like a little girl and just shut the hell up and dominate!! He will lose fans acting like a bitch!!

I have always liked Harisson even his days with The Chargers.. He was a BIG hitter who never apologized for anything (Except for today when he apologized to Brady for that comment.. I'm a little disappointed)

The Bronco's are 4-0 but I still don't think they are legit...Beating The Pats this week will change my mind.

Bills fans rent billboard to advertise discontent!

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP)—It didn’t take long for Ryan Abshagen to discover how many Buffalo Bills fans are unhappy with their team and want owner Ralph Wilson to make sweeping changes.
In a little more than a week, Abshagen, an unemployed 18-year-old from New Freedom, Pa., raised enough money—$1,402 and counting as of Wednesday— through an Internet campaign to rent a billboard and advertise a message of discontent for everyone in Buffalo to see.
“I honestly never thought it would ever be this big,” Abshagen said. “Fans are disgruntled. It’s out there. It’s big. People are going to hear about it.”
Starting early Monday and running for a week, the message will be flashed up to 3,000 times a day on a digital billboard overlooking Interstate 190 on the south side of the city, said Abshagen after signing a contract with an advertising company.

The display will feature a message that reads, “It’s time to clean house, RALPH,” referring to Wilson. Next to that will be a checklist of three names: Jauron; the team’s chief college scout Tom Modrak; and vice president of pro personnel John Guy.
The level of fan frustration in Buffalo has been evident since the Bills missed the playoffs for a ninth straight season with their third consecutive 7-9 finish a year ago. It’s reached a boiling point again with Buffalo at 1-4 and coming off an ugly 6-3 loss to Cleveland on Sunday.
Bills fans showed their displeasure by booing the team numerous times during a game in which the team’s offense failed to score a touchdown for the second time in three weeks. Some fans were spotted wearing paper bags on their heads, while one group stood up to display matching white T-shirts with letters on them that spelled: “FIRE DICK NOW!”
Jauron, in his fourth season, is on the hot seat for the team’s dreadful start. Modrak and Guy are being blamed for failing to build a competitive roster.
The Bills declined comment when asked about the billboard.
Jauron has declined to discuss his status, but has previously acknowledged the criticism.
Bills punter Brian Moorman(notes) rallied to Jauron’s support when informed of the billboard.
“It doesn’t discourage me because I know there’s a lot more people out there that wouldn’t do something like that. But it is a free country,” Moorman said. “The important thing is that inside these walls, (Jauron) has our support. We believe in him.”
Abshagen said he first proposed the billboard idea on a Bills fan message board following the team’s 38-10 loss at Miami on Oct. 4.
A few days later, he designed a web site and began seeking donations. Abshagen said the site attracted little attention until several media outlets mentioned the campaign in stories, particularly after the loss to the Browns.
“That was the one that tilted the scales,” he said. “That was embarrassing.”
The response was so overwhelming that Abshagen said he raised the necessary $1,125 to rent the billboard for a week by Tuesday night. He’s now begun a second campaign to raise another $1,125 to extend the rental for one more week or rent a second billboard.
Any leftover money, he said, will be donated to charity.
“We don’t hate anybody,” Abshagen said, when asked about how the message might be interpreted. “The donors and myself included, we don’t mean any harm or wish to insult anyone. We simply just want to get our voice out as fans.”
And he doesn’t think it’ll make any difference among fans should the Bills win on Sunday when they travel to play the New York Jets.
“I think the fans are fed up enough that it won’t even have an effect,” Abshagen said. “We are in too deep at this point.”

And out of respect for Vomit who's football posts I enjoy reading I am not even going to voice my opinion on Romo, but suffice to say it hasn't changed all that much.

Hey TMan! Let me have it! No big woop! I was glad to see Dallas squeeze a win out last week, but am sad that it might have saved Coach Cupcake for a little while longer. Anyone who watched that game (I did not) knows that the Cowboys are an ill-prepared, ill-discplined, middle of the road team. Austin looked good....but can he keep it up?

I worry about Felix Jones & Marion Barber. I like both, but Felix may be made of glass and am not sure if Barber can be anything than a closer, 3rd down type back. The more I see of these guys, the more I really start to appreciate the strength, endurance and longevity of Emmitt Smith. That type of back is a precious commodity (think Barry Sanders as well). How the hell did those guys play for so long without missing much (if any) time due to injuries?? I will be rooting for the Saints this weekend.

Hey guys, it seems the Charger season is on the line monday night, with all due respect Broncos have gotten better on defense, Orton is playing smart plus they have 3 running backs i believe their streak will end Monday in San Diego, like i said with all due respect i still don't buy the Broncos
Look out for the Ravens as they tear the Vikings sunday.
I'm taking the Saints over the Giants, it looks like maybe 1 team will remain undefeated by tuesday
Good luck to All

After beating the Pats, i still think the Broncos are not legit IMO of course, the Pats are not playing to theirs standars yet this season, and Brady needs to get the ball to Moss more, once those 2 are in sync watchout!!! i hope the Pats do get rolling soon like they always do, any comments??? T man???
