Non-gothic female vocalists

Why are people still surprised by women doing death metal growling? People, regardless of gender, can train their voices to sound anyway they want.

Did you actually listen to that?

She's doing far more than a death growl. (which usually sounds horrible or comical coming from a female)

Lol that Awaiting The Autopsy song has Phlegeton on guest vocals, theres like 2-3 seconds where the female does vocals and thats it.

I'm pretty sure the chick only does the screams. The main dude does the main inhales/growls I think. And yeah that song has Phlegeton as the main vocalist...

Actually, I'm sure I read that it's the drummer doing the growls, the girl only does the black metal shrieks. It must be akward live, just standing around doing nothing half the time.
