Floor Jansen of After Forever is awesome, Cristina Scabbia's good-though the new Lacuna Coil sucks (yes I admit, I listen to female fronted metal bands, and if you got a problem with it, who cares? I don't count operatic or angelic female vocals as metal, so I wouldn't list them even if I would like them (which I don't).
I'd only make an exception for Floor Jansen, because she does a lot more than operatic vocals and she's damn good at it.

My all time hands down favorite female singer is my hero Ann Wilson (Heart), but that's no metal (except for maybe a few songs)
