I think it and mayh are by far their best, even if BRI drags on. The boring level between it and subsequent albums is "Night and day"? Are you angry that there are no songs that repeat the same riff for literally 3 minutes straight like there are on the last couple?

If Orchid and Morningrise were about half as long, they would both be really fast, stuffed, and exciting stuff. I think what you're referring to as for the boringness is repetition, but as far as I am concerned the repetition really just builds the mood and makes the music all the more epic for me.

I took me some time to get used to the album, but 'Morningrise' is my second favorite Opeth album.
