It seems you keep going back to what Geoff is doing today. I'm not arguing it's better, and I'm not arguing it's good. I have no interest in either. I won't download either disc.

In my mind, calling either band Queensryche is absurd. I'll simply finish where I began... Geoff is the best singer in the history of the genre. His voice defined the band. If I had to pick a second defining characteristic, if would have been DeGarmo's playing. The "true Queensryche" has neither of these items. for me, it's as simple as that.
