Hey Paul and the gang, can you give us any insight on what tunes you guys are going to be jamming on this tour? How long of a set are you givin?

I'm especially interested in hearing anything off Of Sculpurted Ivy; my favorite album! Don't worry, I LOVE the past 2 albums as well... hell I love them all.. just wondering if you could clue us in on what we can expect! Can't wait for the show.. see you in clevleand!

Well, we will be playing 2 songs from Sculptured Ivy, 2 songs from Fade, 1 from the knowing, and 1 brand new song. :)

We get 30 to 35 minutes, so if we can squeeze in one more, maybe 1 more from the knowing.
The Jealous Sun
For Every Leaf That Falls
Not The Strong
Dark Fields For Brilliance
Silent Tomorrow

?

LOL

Not even close. We havent done The Jealous Sun, Dark Fields For Brilliance, or Silent Tomorrow in a long time. It's not to say we'll never play any of them again, but those are such long epic songs that it winds up taking up all the allotted stage time just playing those few. Plus, we've never been completely satisfied with how certain songs sound like (i.e. Dark Fields...) without having the keyboards there, so until we figure out a way to rectify that situation, it probably will stay out of the setlist. But someday, it'll happen.

With Rue And Fire or Dawn Breaks would be the other from OSIASF? (assuming you play FELTF)

The set list will probably include "Not The Strong", with a possiblity of "Lost In A Day", or "Within My Flesh" from TWTF. I've seen "Silent Tomorrow" performed (Milwaukee '02), so I'm guessing that it's a toss-up between "Harmony Divine", "Shadows Of Light", or "In Faith" from The Knowing. Aside from "With Rue And Fire", "Reaping Forest Calm" might work. And from what I've heard of the sample of the new song, it's definitely going to go over well live.

"Reaping Forest Calm"! Wow, man, we haven't played that song at least since 2000. I always enjoyed that song actually, it's just another one of those long slow songs that got left by the wayside once new material got written. If we ever find ourselves in a position to play 90 minutes, we could surely do some of these long lost epic-length tunes haha
For the record, I don't think we've played "In Faith" live even once. That was the first full song I ever wrote for the band when I joined, and while I think it was a cool song, it just never really could compete with stuff like "Shadows Of Light" or "Harmony Divine" and so on, so it never got played live, other than in rehearsals. Again, maybe someday, who knows.

The only person I know who plays keyboards got sick of workign with other peopel in music around the time Nuclear Blast dumped his band..
so probably best to not use keys live....

I love to be a prick. Online anyhow. Hence this thread of conversation. So seriouslly... WTGare we doing for Larry in Cambridge?
