It's a song by Rush from the 'Signals' album. I've always felt a kinship to that song. Here are the lyrics:

THE ANALOG KID

A hot and windy August afternoon
Has the trees in constant motion
With a flash of silver leaves
As they're rocking in the breeze

The boy lies in the grass with one blade
Stuck between his teeth
A vague sensation quickens
In his young and restless heart
And a bright and nameless vision
Has him longing to depart

You move me ‹
You move me ‹
With your buildings and your eyes
Autumn woods and winter skies
You move me ‹
You move me ‹
Open sea and city lights
Busy streets and dizzy heights
You call me ‹
You call me ‹

The fawn-eyed girl with sun-browned legs
Dances on the edge of his dream
And her voice rings in his ears
Like the music of the spheres

The boy lies in the grass, unmoving
Staring at the sky
His mother starts to call him
As a hawk goes soaring by
The boy pulls down his baseball cap
And covers up his eyes

Too many hands on my time
Too many feelings ‹
Too many things on my mind
When I leave I don't know
What I'm hoping to find
When I leave I don't know
What I'm leaving behind...

Mine is about the fight for peace in this world, the meaning of life, the fight for whats good in this world, the attempt to spread happiness to all those who surround me. It contains all the knowledge of the world, every living creature can be found in its depths, every star can be seen, every atom displayed in all its glory. My name is. It was. And it shall be forever. It is nothing, but everything. It is something specific, yet encompasses all that can be. Within its glory can be found the answer to any question. It is a friend to all those who are lonely, it is a prayer to all those who need. It is what you have been searching for you whole life, it is what you have been running from as well. But you can't escape it, it is here, it has consumed you, it may be the beginning but it is also the end....

(either that or its a stupid Steve Vai song where a baby cries and Vai imitates it on his guitar. I used the name for a while and then just stopped changing it and it stuck.)

Jayde is my name as far as you all know.

Urizen, I recognize your avatar from my obsession with looking for pictures of ghosts online. It's a fake that was sent around by email saying that if you didn't send it to at least (some number) of people then the thing in the picture would come and kill you. I got the email.

(Sorry, just my little bits of trivia, I'm sure you already knew that.)

tenebrose.
Well, as the story goes, I was born on the 11th of August. On my 15th birthday there was a full solar eclipse, described by Nostradamus once upon a time to be the most "tenebrose", as some translations say, since the crucifiction of Christ. Tenebrose, of course, comes from tenebre/tenebrae, meaning dark or gloomy. Being a bit of a "dark romanticist" myelf, I decided it was a good name and I've used it more or less everywhere online, ever since (with the exception of in heathen associations, when my name is Fuillann, but that's another story entirely...).

A nickname I've used on the internet for all my time online..
It's simply taken from my favourite video game of all time: Phantasy Star II (1989).

Vulture Culture (Gloria Domini) is a song from Moonspell's album Sin/Pecado. i could follow the thought of the whole culture being a giant vulture which feeds upon the weak, old and disabled people. and i wanted to get rid of my old nickname, xytras, which is still in use in icq, but was rather pointless and boring.

well when i first came here back in May i joined the Katatonia forum, and wanted some sort of Kataonia name thingy, after about 8 tries for names which were already taken  , i got bored and frustrated so i put the first thing that came into my head which was Transparent, because i was listening to Clean Today by Katatonia, i put the _ _ at the ends on the off chance that some other person had this name (i dont have a clue why they would but...) and then it was done. if i'd known then id post this much i'd probably have put more thought into the name.

Moonchild is a book by Aleister Crowley, its about a magical war between a white lodge and a black lodge over a magical unborn child, the "moonchild"

My nick comes from the Theatre of Tragedy song, Siren, which I liked a lot few months ago.
Of course it has to do a lot with greek mythology too. It was a mythological creature, part woman and part bird. They sang so beautifully that they lured mariners to destruction on the rocks that they lived (I think they ate them after that but i'm not sure, i'll have to check it out). Odysseus ordered his crew to put wax in their ears so that they couldn't hear the alluring song, tie him on the mast very tightly (no wax in his ears ;) ) and to not obey any orders to go near the Sirens.

@Vulture Culture: your old nick "xytras" may not be that pointless.. in greek it could mean something like "cooking pot-man" :D

Mine is just finnish for assassin, don't ask why tho, I got no idea why I picked it...
hmm then again, the is an old Sentenced song Beyond The Wall Of Sleep (I think it's based on the H.P. Lovecraft novel by the same name) and in that song there is a line "Sandman stabs me in the back..." which would suggest that sandman is a backstabber aka assassin.

Also the TBL album Ichor there is a song One Colour: Black that has the following passage "Now we live the Age of Treason, When there’s daggers in men’s smiles (goddamn backstabbers in disguise)" suggesting all of human kind is a bunch of backstabbers aka assassins.

Both those songs are from the same man btw.

Ok, I don't know if that made any sense, but I guess that is nothing new from me ;-)
