I always thought your nick came from the King Crimson song of the same name, or the Maiden song off Seventh son...

My nick comes from the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. One of the evil characters, Padan Fain, goes under the false moniker of "Ordeith" during one of his evil plots to destroy the good main character, Rand al-Thor. Ordeith means in the ancient language of the nation of his and Rand's origin "wormwood." I chose the nick because it sounds weird and cool in addition to it's meaning. Also, I'm not terribly creative when it comes to nicknames and using it meant not having to make up something which would inevitably sound stupid.

My nick online usually is something in the lines of Blacksoul,
but that always make people think I'm a guy.
Blackspirit is more femalish I think >:o) And I like it a lot....

I am dark on the inside, my spirit is black, and I remember
wanting it to say something about the music I listen to back
when I started using Blacksoul.
And it helped, only metalfans contact me >:oP

@Vulture Culture: your old nick "xytras" may not be that pointless.. in greek it could mean something like "cooking pot-man" :D

LOL
neither can i cook nor do i smoke pot :D

xytras was how the drummer/keyboarder of the swiss band Samael named himself (he had a solo album as well, with samael songs played only on piano/keyboard). i thought he was cool... back then...

Good book too.

"There is little difference -barring our Occidental subtlety- between Chinese philosophy and English," observed Cyril Grey. "The Chinese bury a man alive in an ant heap; the English introduce him to a woman."

Maybe I didn't translate it well, it has to do only with the cooking part, something like a kettle
I'm not good with this cooking stuff either, so let's drop it :p

Now that you metion it I reconize the name :) fyi the 10th book is suppost to be coming out this year I can't wait.

Well my nick came because I like opeth and I missed the "e" when I was typing it, opps  and I thought there would be a lot of opeth somethings on here so I needed something differnt and I ususally use "_001" not much of a reason behind it just a mistake ha ha. I would change it but don't feel like it. I sure I'm the only one stupid enought to miss spell the name I wanted ohh well

Mine was orginially juggernaut, but i wanted something more layed back and shorter, then about a year later everyone said to me "do you watch the man show?" i had no idea what they where talking about till i watched it

Ravenwood is actually a cool castle out in a rural area about twenty miles from where live. It's got wikked armor and old clothing, furniture. My friend had his birthday party there and we spent the night in the old place.

 YaYoGakk, I'll store your self-description so that one day I can use it against you ! :heh: :loco:

"D Mullholand" sounds cool, being one of the results of a period 6 months ago when I was busy inventing new names for myself. I like the anonymity of it, kind of like an entry in a phone book, the immortal romantic image of the faceless document-man (ahh !). Plus it's always amusing to see people refer to me as "D".
