I thought the new Cynic was pretty decent, I actually found the clean vocals better this time. I wasn't too keen on those Focus vocals, although I think the record certainly has its moments. I actually haven't listened to it much. Anyway, I'll have to spin that new album some more to make up my mind.

Most of the evening I have been listening to Red House Painters, it's owning me pretty hard basically. I'll need to get more by them. Also listened to that Par Example thing from my last post, a pretty damn underground Dutch electonic ambient cd from '89. Riddled with Arps and Moogs and that kind of stuff. I quite enjoyed some of it.

Me likes. The vocals are overall better (mainly because of the production).
