Whipping Post
When I went through my prog rock phase it got to the point where I would get at least 10 or so albums a week haha. Don't hunt through prog rock anymore that much, ended up digging pretty deep and finished with around 40gb lol. Listened to most of it. Black Bonzo are one of the best contemporary prog rock bands, try if you haven't Anekdoten, Anglagard, Birds and Buildings, Gazpacho, Jeavestone, Morte Macabre, Paatos, Prisma, Trettioariga Kriget and Zombi for example. But yeah the common understanding that the best prog rock is from the 70's is completely true. It's a giant goldmine of amazing music. I dig through psych rock a lot more nowadays.I know, it's terribleI admittedly don't have much prog, other than the essentials..I want more.
Bohren & Der Club Of Gore- Dolores, love the new one. Next Bennie Maupin- The Jewel In The Lotus.
