Is it just me or people its becoming shy to create threads? I mean there are several threads with hundreds of post, wich i honestly do not feel like checking out from start to finish but i suspect there is a lot of unrelated chat about absolutely different things, why not create a new thread instead?

I do not mean to offend anyone i just think it could be easier to read...somehow...
 
There's isn't much Dark Tranquillity related topics to talk about left. There's also the off-topic forum in the Opeth forum for people to talk about anything.
 
I don't like when a forum is flooded with threads and it certainly looks stupid to create a thread for a nuisance.

Just my opinion.
 
I will agree with Thanatos and add that i prefer a few "active" threads that stay in the first page, instead of zillions of useless and pointless threads that flood the first page, die after a couple of posts and take the more meaningful threads with them.

Besides, the way it works now resembles more to a real discussion, whereas starting a new topic for each subject that arises would kill this spirit imo.
 
i like this forum as it is.. i hate the current state of the Opeth forum, for example.

we're ok with only a couple of pointless threads, me thinks :)
 
Well you are taking it too far away, the opeth forum its indeed annoying to read ( to some not to me but o well ) and i would never enjoy watching something like that over here. What i mean its like a half way thing, i mean you dont need 100s of threads per day but its also just as hard to read ( for people who is not in it from day one thats it ) threads with 100s and 100s of posts. There has to be a middle point imho.
 
I agree with Misanthrope on that "middle point" thingy - some threads are SO full of mindless babbling that I don't want to read them, even though I know there might be some interesting or funny posts somewhere. And the trend seems to be that these un-important posts are spreading to other threads.

So, I would once again dare to ask people to think twice before posting - if you have nothing serious to say, find a suitable place for your funny rambling instead of putting it to the first thread that you come across. I have no problem with some of these very popular (and funny, I must admit) threads, where people talk about teddybears, old shoes, weremules and so forth - but, please, keep those posts on those few threads, instead of posting them all over the forum.

Ah I like the forum how it is, I would much rather have threads with 100 posts than 2 pages of threads with 2 posts (IN FLAMES UGH). Even if there is no "middle point" I think if we stop posting paranoic humor and babble as we usually do itll take away a bit of the charm of this forum, I hope things continue as they are.

I love this forum as it is....(or may be as it was a month ago) and the thing I most LIKE of it is the lack on stupid threads like someone popping up and saying "DT rule" and that's it....or "Dt Suck" as has happened... I also dislike the ones promoting self bands something....turns to a caotic forum....I wanted to follow the sonata arctica but there are so many useless threads...it's just as if all the stupid and silly things we say here among threads were done in separate and personal threads by their own!

IMHO is much easier, closer and friendlier to have a forum like this rather than having so many threads you can't even reply 'cause actually there's not a matter to discuss but a simple "notice" post

I like this place the way it is. There is the right number of new threads being made, and only for good reasons -- not just pointless garbage. I check into all the threads here to just look through... I prefer a few useful or interesting threads instead of dozens of useless, pointless ones.

It is also nice to see that Misanthrope has a good side. :D
 
what had I missed???? I mean, I've only seen ONE Misanthrope's side, and it always have been great....of course I haven't seen him out of this forum (but he must have posted quite a lot outta here acording to his posts) but well...don't know...so many ppl saying Misanthrope was a devil in the shape of a mexican dude....

you didnt see the misanthrope who spammed the shit out of the In Flames board just to get the board shut down and you mustve seen the misanthrope who passionatly hates vegans and hardcore :p . Anyway, good to know hes a good guy under it all hehe.

People people, you can think about it as 2 Options:

I was making a graphical point, and it doesnt really affects cause #1 im not too happy with inflames and #2 im specially not happy about the "dudes" in the inflames forum, they kinda deserve to be flooded cause they flood the forum themselves with their stupidity, and im not new to the forum ive seen it since the ezboard days

The other way to see it: im a graphical comediant of a short:p
