I feel sorry for the kids. What kind of life are they going to have. Obviously, the mother is psycho. The problem is that until the mother is deemed unfit, you can't help the kids without helping the mother. I hope they get the kids away from her before its too late.

They should put all the children (all 14 of them) up for adoption. This mentally unstable woman obviously cannot afford to support the 6 kids she already had, let alone the 8 new kids she just gave birth to!

In all, I think this woman is off her mental rocker and others (doctors, parents, CA taxpayers) have been enablers. Seriously - I do believe this woman is suffering from a mental illness of some sort (I'm not a doctor so I can't diagnose). This woman obviously

1. Likes attention
2. Likes to have kids (a TON of them)

Seriously, there are women out there that LOVE being pregnant all the time and LOVE having multiple children. I can't see how or why, but I have heard of such stories. And you can tell this woman probably doesn't have or want any contact with a male - but still wants children.

She needs to be under doctor's supervision due to mental illness. There is no other explanation for all this :zombie:

i was annoyed that someone in a financial shithole and with obviously skewed reasoning abilities would be allowed to have 14 kids through IVF.

all i needed to hear was her reason for having those kids...and every sentence stating why started off with "i wanted", "i felt", or "i need".

Everything about this woman says "I will have what I want no matter the cost." Every interview I've seen has painted her as a completely selfish-driven woman with no regard to the safety of her children. She claims to have wanted to have more children because she wanted her kids to have siblings, and she said that she was always thinking about their needs first, while trying to satisfy her wants. Then she says that her kids never asked for more siblings, but they knew it was what she wanted. It's total BS, and I get angry every time she is on TV, because she doesn't give a damn about her children anymore than the fact that they "give her a bond with another human being." If that were her only concern, what was wrong with the 6 she had? Did they not provide enough of a bond? I hope she has to give up every single one of the 8 to foster homes, because there is no way she can provide enough care to all of those kids. The ones she already had should stay with her, being old enough to be damaged emotionally by the separation.

Not getting completely off topic... CA taxpayers will be paying for all 14 of these kids for the next 18 or so years (at least!). Like I said, this nut of a "mother" needs to be put under a doctor's supervision - hopefully away from the public - and away from fertility clinics!!!!

Last night when I was flipping through channels she was all over the place. Now, I understand somebody needing foodstamps at some point in their life, especially when it is hard to find jobs right now and so forth, but it should only be temporary and should not exceed a year, but for christ's sake, lay off having kids if you have to have foodstamps just to feed the kids you already have, so let's add 8 more mouths to feed. The whole thing pisses me off, but I had no idea you could get dissability because one of your kids has ADHD, damn. My friends kid has ADHD, but he doesn't collect dissability, just does what he can to help calm his ass down.

If you read that closely, it is a tax on a tax, which is illegal to the best of my knowledge. The new hikes will cost the average family an additional $1400.00 per year. And still we have major issues with illegal immigration, medical costs for illegal immigrants and their anchor families, education expenses, putz's who know how to work the system just like Octomom, etc. ARGH!!!!

Yes, we vote, but 9 times out of 10, our votes don't mean jack shit and are overturned by Federal grounds within months anyway. If my family (immediate and extended) weren't here, we'd be gone. Period.

I too wonder how much she is going to wind up costing taxpayers in the end. She was selfish to put herself at risk when she already has 6 kids, never mind the fact that she cannot take care of them all financially or otherwise.

The doctor that treated her should lose his fucking license. Implanting a fertile woman at the ripe old age of 33 with 6 embryos is NOT standard practice for a REASON.

I could go on for days as this has really struck a nerve with me, but I'll leave it at that. This has come up multiple times and everyone I've talked to or heard talk about it is of a similar mindset. I honestly haven't seen a single argument supporting her (other than her own stupid ramblings).

What some of you in California conveniently forget is that 80% of the spending and taxing was decided in referendum. The Legislature is basically handcuffed because of this. Anyone remember Prop 13? Well, the chickens from that and others in that same vein are coming home to roost. Deal with the batshit-crazy people that put up referenda for the sake of referenda, and California will be fine.
