GRRR. Why do no bands use standard tuning, makes it hassle to learn their songs. Why even bother having the term "standard tuning" when the only people who use it are britpop bands. Britpop is organised crime, and we are all the victims.

Standard tuning is the win... this band I'm joining tunes CGCFAD total numetallage haha... nah they are prog band, but I'm buying a 5 string off ebay to set up in CGCFA or something.

I disagree. If you plan on using standard, just get a 7 string, you get standard PLUS a low B. Any 6 string of mine will be tuned one step down or dropped C.
