Come on, folks, nu-metal isn't THAT bad, as a matter of fact I'd prefer my friends to listen to that instead of Shakira or Shaggy (is that the spelling?). It is good music (apart from Korn, and L. B., both =

ok i forgot that i dled two masterplan songs yesterday so i am just listening to them now. first i got 'crawling from hell' which is very typical power metal, which i dont like too much. but the second i got was 'when love comes close' , which sounds ok.

@ Silent - When love comes close is the WEAKEST song off their album, and Crawling from Hell was written WAAAAAAAAAAY back in the 80s, Roland has a strange habbit to re-record it with every next band of his.

I'm not expecting everyone to have the same opinion as me, but I do find it pretty unusual for 4 or 5 people in the same space to dislike/hate the Gathering. All the people to whom I've introduced the Gathering to in real life have liked them. Maybe people in here are too conditioned to fast and heavy music.Mr. Shred-ididle said:

I guess the level of prog snobbery is higher than I thought, since Edguy is one of the only power bands Ive seen more prog and trad metal fans warm to (besides Angra). I mean, c'mon, when Tobi sounds so much like Dickinson how can you not like them? And his Avantasia side project is just sheer genius.

I can't sleep. My wife and I made an offer on a house today (well, yesterday now technically) and we should hear back within 16 hours. If we got this house it would be mega-awesome....
I got a new job as a Software Engineer, but it is 65 miles from where we live now that's why we're moving, but not too close cuz she works only 20 miles from here, so we'll be in between. It's a great house for us though man... It's spacious, and with just me, her, and the pug...it will be way more than enough. My wife is already going crazy like it's Trading Spaces on TLC. I'm just nervous and I hope the mofo accepts our offer. So...I can't sleep
