A: Personally I don't need it. I often make fun of religious people or look down upon them, but that is narrowminded of me. As long as noone tries to force their belief on me, I'm ok with religion. What's not ok is sects, brainwashing, wars over religion and so on. I think some people need religion because without it the structure of their lives would collapse. Their cultures may be built around religion or their moral values are built around religion. They may also use it as a source of hope or energy. That is totally fine with me. I could go on about this but I think that deserves it's own thread...


Q: It makes me extremely annoyed to hear US americans complain about their gas prices rising when we pay twice or even three times that price over here. Can they please realize that they don't need to drive large SUVs and that they are helping to ruin the environment more than necessary. What are your thoughts on this, should they be allowed to complain? Don't give me a short answer please.

Well you have to think that your average ignorant American would'nt know those things, if your gas prices went from $1.75 to $2.10 a gallon (basically in the span of a week) you would complain as well. You also have to address the fact your gasoline prices are higher b/c your government needs the money to provide the services that my government doesnt provide. On the SUV topic: I think SUVs are pointless unless you live in a mountainous area with unpaved roads or smthing. Yes we can bitch, freedom of speech .

Itll damage Americas economy to some how dampen the use of cars, yet there will be no economy to defend in 50 years time. We should use horse back for transport .
