I've had two people at work have fires in thier kitchens over the past few months. What is wrong with everyone?
Both were grease fires, both were because of stupidity.

FYI to the world, DO NOT leave pans full of grease on the stove.

i was browning the topping on the potatos! lol Everything seems okay though...my goodness! what a scare..lol and I SHOULD have got pics of the flames coming out of the oven! that would've been awesome! LOL

I've only managed to put a pot of oil to flame. Nothing burnt as a quick pot lid put it out.

I have, however, had a bad roommate light my apartment on fire. I would not let him smoke in the rest of the apt. but he smoked in his room. So one day he stubbed out a cigarette (or so he though), dumped it in the trash and went to the bar to have some drinks. I came home to firemen, broken windows, the contents of his room in the parking lot and many many smoke damaged possessions. I'm pretty sure I have not spoken to him again and I also have not had roommates again after I moved out of that place.
