Old Radio Thread (again?)

Yes, I like radio plays in general, but the only one I can even GIVE you is the radio adaptation of Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, done last year by the BBC.

Yep, that is an immense broadcast, absolutely superb. The zenith of radio transmission. I don't listen to many radio plays, mostly educational programming or sports. I like the Mighty Boosh radio show, though. It's quite fun, and superior to the TV incarnation.

TV really did kill the radio star. Red Skelton and Amos n Andy didn't work well at all on TV either, which is a shame cause I have almost every amos n andy show and a few skeltons, and I've listened to some episodes at least 50 times in my life (no exaggeration either).

As far as I'm concerned, Books are #1, Radio is #2, and TV is #3. We're slowly losing our abilities to imagine thanks to modern technology. Books and Radio will always be superior to those of us who can still use our brains (obviously not I).
